What does in-culture mean to you?
We are in-culture not only because we understand the facets of our culture, but also because we know how to change our culture to benefit our clients more.
When did you start working at Weber Shandwick?
I started in 2011 as a Consultant.
What’s the best thing you’ve ever seen happen inside the Weber Shandwick offices?
A Chinese New Year celebration that we had before the pandemic. Each year, our managing director, with some colleagues, would dress up as the animals of different Chinese zodiacs and distribute lai see (red pockets) to other colleagues as part of the traditional Chinese culture celebration.
In five words or less, how would you describe your Weber Shandwick colleagues?
We’re like one big family.
If you weren’t working in this industry, what would you want to do?
There is something about caring for animals, especially orphaned and injured young animals that speaks to my heart.
What’s your favorite thing about Hong Kong?
Everything. Necessities such as restaurants, groceries, and other daily necessities are nearby.
What’s your favorite way to unwind in your free time?
A variety of exercises, including pilates, yoga, weight training, cycling and swimming. My energy levels are boosted by endorphins, which relieve stress.
What is your most-used app on your phone?
For me, Whatsapp is essential to staying in touch with friends and family, as well as colleagues and clients in a more direct way as a PR professional.
Where would you love to travel in the world to gain inspiration?
It’s probably Cairo, which I haven’t visited yet. Being a lover of history and heritage, a city with over 4,000 years of history would undoubtedly inspire me.
What’s your favorite metaphor or phrase to use at work or in a pitch?
I don’t settle for anything but the best.
“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
