Jim McCray

Senior Advisor

Jim McCray is one of the country’s leading political, nonprofit and philanthropic fundraisers and strategists most recently serving as a Senior Advisor to the Republican National Committee and the 2024 Trump-Vance presidential campaign where he managed a 60-person national fundraising team. In addition to multiple presidential campaigns, he has worked on more than 35 statewide political campaigns for Republican gubernatorial and Senate candidates. As CEO of Highwood Capital – a national political and business consulting firm – McCray advises U.S. Senators, Governors, coalitions, corporations and nonprofits, including the Bipartisan Policy Center, the PGA Tour/PGA of America, the Washington Capitals & Wizards, Eisenhower Memorial and Home Builders Institute.

Jim’s Story

Earlier in his career, McCray practiced corporate law in Minneapolis, MN at Dorsey & Whitney LLP and in Washington, D.C. at Dow Lohnes & Albertson, PLLC in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity/Finance. He advised senior corporate executives, management teams and boards of directors on corporate governance, acquisition guidance, and private equity and venture capital financing arrangements.
