Juan’s Story
Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Juan Carlos was a senior advisor at Edelman Smithfield, where he helped clients build and execute best-in-class IR programs, prepare for IPOs, defend against activism, manage leadership transitions, and navigate complex financial and reputational events. Earlier, he led the IR function at JetBlue Airways, serving as the primary liaison to analysts and investors, overseeing the earnings process, and directing IR communications through the COVID-19 crisis.
Juan Carlos began his career in valuation and transfer pricing at Deloitte and EY, and later held in-house roles at BlackRock and Tyco International, advising on global transactions and financial strategy. He holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.
