John co-leads the public affairs practice, applying his experience as a writer and editor on politics and public policy to support strategic communications and advocacy campaigns. He provides strategic counsel, media relations, executive training and visibility, and crisis and issues management. His client work includes corporations, universities, business groups and nonprofit organizations, including Aetna, Amazon, Booz Allen Hamilton, Boston Consulting Group, ClimateWorks Foundation, Entertainment Software Association, Fannie Mae, General Motors, George Washington University, Huntington Ingalls Industries, MIT, PhRMA, TIAA, and the United Way Worldwide.
Before joining the firm, John wrote news and enterprise articles for The New York Timesand managed its news desk in the Washington bureau, working with reporters and editors to plan news coverage.
