SÃO PAULO – December 3, 2015 – Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global communications and engagement firms, was named Brazilian Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report during the inaugural Latin America SABRE Awards held in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Holmes Report pointed to the firm’s strong performance in the market under the leadership of Weber Shandwick Latin America Chair Laura Schoen and S2 Publicom Weber Shandwick CEO Ze Schiavoni. The publication also highlighted Weber Shandwick’s success in “establishing itself as a center of innovation, with strong digital, social and content creation capabilities.”
“We share this award with our exceptionally dedicated colleagues and valued client partners across Brazil,” Schiavoni said. “It’s a challenging time for Brazil, but our vibrant network across the country continues to grow and to deliver best-in-class services to our clients seeking creative solutions. Our team continues to excel client expectations.”
In addition to the Agency of the Year honor, the firm was also recognized for its leading client campaigns. In partnership with Turner Broadcasting, S2 Publicom Weber Shandwick won the SABRE Award in the research and planning category for the TNT Oscar campaign. The firm also earned a SABRE in the technology category for the Democratizing Virtual Reality in Brazil campaign with Beenoculus Technology.
Weber Shandwick has witnessed tremendous growth in Brazil since its acquisition of S2 Publicom in 2011. Last month, the firm opened an office in Brazil’s capital, Brasilia, expanding its network in the country, including offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Alphaville, in addition to a growing presence across the Latin American region, which includes an office in Mexico City and affiliate partners in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. In 2015, S2 Publicom Weber Shandwick was named Communications Agency of the Year in Brazil by the Comunique-se Awards and a Mega TOP 10 Brazil Communications Agency.
Brazil continues to be a strong hub for our firm in Latin America and across our global network, and we’re delighted that The Holmes Report has recognized this increasingly important market by introducing its SABRE Awards program to honor the creativity and cutting-edge work cultivated in this region
