Senior Associate, Client Experience, Brand
Weber Shandwick is looking for a Senior Associate, Client Experience to join our Consumer Brand practice on the West Coast — someone who knows what’s happening in culture and, more importantly, why people are talking about it.
You’ll help bring campaigns, events and partnerships to life for major US and global brands, creating work designed to get people talking, sharing and engaging.
We’re looking for someone who lives at the intersection of lifestyle, entertainment, fandom and sports — who follows what’s breaking across media and social, has a strong POV on what’s next, and has great ideas for how to turn cultural moments and insights into opportunities for brands.
Responsibilities
CLIENT AND WORK
- Liaises with clients and assists in day-to-day communications and account management, including organizing client meetings, developing timelines, activity reports, and other key client documentation.
- Supports a variety of strategic initiatives on client accounts, including assisting in the development and execution of integrated campaigns.
- Manages and executes key media relations deliverables, including media list creation, pitch development, press releases, reporting, and content creation.
- Supports campaign and program development by conducting relevant research and contributing creative ideas to media activations, planning meetings, and team brainstorms.
- Continually builds understanding and knowledge of clients’ business, competitive landscape, and industry trends to provide thoughtful recommendations.
- Partners with diverse, cross-functional teams to ensure strong execution of programs in support of client business objectives.
- Monitors, analyzes, and develops client coverage reports, leveraging industry measurement and listening tools to identify opportunities for growth and strategic evolution.

- Contributes to the work plan of junior team members and helps guide their work.
- Serves as a role model to team members, producing high-quality work and continually updating managers on activity progress.
- Proactively contributes to an inclusive team culture and consistently displays behaviors that support integration.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Journalism, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in communications, events or media relations, roles
- Experience supporting communications programs, either in an agency or in-house setting.
- An obsession with culture and an understanding of what drives culture, with a passion for tapping into pop culture to reach broad and diverse audiences.
- A strong writer capable of crafting compelling narratives for various audiences.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with strong project coordination skills and the ability to drive projects from start to finish.
- Demonstrates solid media relations skills, including experience with media monitoring, building media lists, and pitching.
- A critical thinker and confident communicator who is solutions-oriented and connects the dots between different workstreams.
California Salary range: $68,700 – $75,000
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range : 68,700 – 75,000
