Job Description:
We are seeking a strong Account Director to join our Healthcare Practice. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in elevating the long-term success of our Health practice.
You will serve as the day-to-day client liaison, responsible for partnering with senior team members to supervise major pieces of business across several work streams. Other responsibilities include leading the strategy and development of programs and activities in partnership with integrated specialists and team leads, planning and delivering against clients’ goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members, and allocating agency resources to match client budgets.
In this role, you will be working on developing and overseeing annual plans, key messages, communications for data and regulatory milestones, communications for unbranded/brand-supportive programs, reputation management, executive thought leadership, crisis communications, and integrated media strategies to protect and drive corporate reputation and value proposition narratives for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and health association clients and prospects. We’re looking for someone with a passion for healthcare communications who understands product portfolios and pipelines as much as disease awareness communications. This individual must be an excellent people leader and client counselor, with a willingness and drive to roll up their sleeves and stay close to the work.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Day-to-day client support and counsel
- Driving communications support around branded and brand supportive campaigns
- Working with several specialists including media, digital and creative
- Working with senior counselors on strategy and measurement
- Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of their skills
- Maintain financial responsibility for accounts
- Effectively manage team utilization and maintain financial responsibility for accounts

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
- At least 7 years’ PR/communications experience, preferably with corporate experience and/or healthcare experience

Salary range: $115,000 – $135,000
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
