POSITION PROFILE
We are currently seeking a Manager, Social and Influencer to join our team in Toronto. We are looking for a collaborative, self-starter with deep expertise in social platforms and influencer marketing, who has the proven ability to create compelling storytelling narratives and bring them to life through creative digital strategies. We are looking for a team player who has their finger on the pulse of online culture, as well as the latest technology, trends and opportunities in the social and digital world.
With 3-5 years of experience, our ideal candidate is a thinker and doer, ready to jump in the deep end and support the team on everything from planning and managing complex social media and influencer campaigns, compiling and analyzing reports to actively participating in creative brainstorms. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of the intersection of paid, owned and earned social in brand and PR campaign orchestration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding and applying best-in-class social and influencer (organic and paid) practices and platform capabilities
- Working with the larger Integrated Media team and client leads to support and lead the development of social media and influencer strategies and proposals, including defining the role of creators within campaign ecosystems
- Manage always-on social accounts, including creating and managing social media content calendars and execution
- Developing and managing creator-first campaigns end-to-end, including briefing, sourcing, contracting, content development, approvals and execution
- Building and managing creator rosters and relationships, identifying the right mix of tastemakers, educators, converters and community voices to deliver against campaign objectives
- Conducting landscape and social listening research to identify content, creative and strategic opportunities
- Overseeing social content development including working with the in-house content team
- Developing and leading end-to-end social-first influencer campaigns
- Creating and presenting reports to track campaign performance and provide insights that inform the next planning cycle
- Utilizing social listening tools to conduct audits and develop reports and campaign monitors
- Managing social and influencer budgets, deliverables, timelines and performance expectations across campaigns
- Providing platform-specific counsel related to preventing, mitigating and managing issues and crisis-related scenarios
- Establishing KPIs and measurement frameworks specific to influencer marketing, including earned reach, content performance, audience response and conversion indicators where applicable
- Assisting in digital education and training programs for the wider agency
- Assisting with new business proposals
REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing or integrated communications (agency experience a plus)
- Proven experience managing influencer campaigns end-to-end, including creator sourcing, briefing, contracting, content development and performance reporting
- Strong understanding of how social and influencer integrate across paid, owned and earned channels
- Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Experience with social and influencer analytics and monitoring tools such as (Sprout, CreatorIQ, Later, Tagger, Hootsuite, or similar)
- Experience with social listening tools (e.g., Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Meltwater) and applying insights to strategy
- Experience preferred in setting up paid campaigns on major platforms (Meta and TikTok)
- A BA or BS, or equivalent degree in communications, digital marketing, or a related discipline preferred
Salary Range: CAD $65,000 – CAD $80,000

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Manager, Earned Media with lifestyle and food & beverage expertise to join our Integrated Media team in Toronto. The ideal candidate is passionate about the latest consumer trends and has a deep enthusiasm for media and creator outreach, pitching, and building relationships. You are deeply immersed in what’s happening in culture and understand the role brands have to play within it. What You Will Be Doing
Shape Integrated Media Strategy:
- You will play an important role in shaping the media strategy for our clients, specifically in the food and beverage space. You will help to design integration across earned media—inclusive of traditional media, emerging media (e.g., Substack), and social media, by creating programming built to be shared and amplified across platforms.
Strategic Media & Influencer Relations:
- Serve as a key day-to-day client contact, developing strategic media and influencer campaigns, action plans, and compelling story angles that resonate with target audiences.
- Generate a consistent pipeline of story ideas, draft engaging media materials, and proactively pitch to land high-impact earned coverage, leveraging your network of media and influencer contacts.
- Develop and manage targeted media and influencer lists, incorporating a diverse mix of voices (influencers, streamers, social media editors, creators, etc.) to achieve client goals.
Client and IAT Collaboration:
- Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business and objectives, working collaboratively with strategists and creative teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Work with members of an IAT to ensure collobaration between media, PR and marketing agencies and clients, and bring an earned-first perspective to the work.
Trend-Spotting & Creative Ideation:
- Maintain a keen interest in current industry trends, constantly monitoring the cultural landscape, competitor coverage, and influencer conversations to identify opportunities.
- Analyze and distill meaningful insights from media coverage, sharing perspectives with both internal teams and clients to inform strategy.
- Support proactive ideation on a consistent basis, contributing fresh ideas for evergreen stories and campaigns.
Program Management:
- Develop and manage timelines, project budgets, and weekly status updates to ensure all program deadlines are met.
- Anticipate and proactively offer solutions for executional issues that may arise during a program.
Team & Agency Leadership:
- Serve as a role model and guide for junior team members, helping to develop their skills and drive results.

POV: You’re our new Director, Social Strategy
On any given day, you could be working on social content strategy, liaising with a client on a paid social campaign, researching the latest trending sounds on Instagram Reels or even helping to launch a podcast. RESPONSIBILITIES
This is what you can regularly expect your work to look like.
- Lead the development and implementation of social media campaigns integrating into larger paid, owned and earned programs
- Educate clients and colleagues about emerging trends, platforms and best practices
- Implement digital engagement campaigns for top-tier clients
- Oversee client’s social media channels including editorial planning, content development, paid media, social listening, social media monitoring and content performance analytics and ongoing social strategy
- Inform the development of effective digital and social media creative and editorial assets to resonate with priority audiences and ensure social channels are being used in high-value ways
- Serve as a key client contact in the management of digital campaigns, providing both reliable project management and strategic counsel as needed. You know how to appropriately engage with clients and can confidently communicate with clients in both written communications, virtually via Microsoft Teams or IRL.
- Collaborate with senior internal agency staff to develop strategy and ensure client deliverables are being met
- Support new business development efforts in pitch development and presentations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6-10 years in digital communications and marketing positions in roles focused on social media
- Experience supporting large clients or organizations driving innovative social media programs
- Deep expertise in social media, including content formats, available ad targeting and analytics capabilities

- Familiarity and comfort working with senior-level stakeholders and clients

SKILLS
This is what you need to know and be able to do with confidence in this role.
- Familiarity with a wide range of social media platforms including but not limited to: LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc. and the available content formats for each and an understanding of social platforms’ native analytics offerings.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and a wide range of community management, social listening and social media management tools such as Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Khoros, Hootsuite or similar tools and an appetite to learn more.
- Superb research skills with the ability to conduct desk research independently and quickly learn new research tools to inform client and internal briefs (read: you can effectively search something on Google and discern reputable sources and learn new tools that can help you supplement your research)
- Top notch written skills, able to write engaging short form social content with a bonus if you have experience writing longer form content
- A strong comfort level with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; You don’t have to be an expert, but you need to be comfortable creating client-ready deliverables in both
- A clear communicator and persuasive presenter both virtually and IRL
- Ability to think strategically about the development of social media programs and how to use social platforms effectively

Senior Publishing Manager
Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Publishing to join our team on a major automotive client.
This person will be the main point of contact and communication center for clients, internal teams and agency partners for all content/asset needs, starting from the early ideation stages to asset strategy, integration across teams and platforms, asset delivery and more.
This is a role where you will be responsible for being part of a diverse and fast-paced set of projects from beginning to end, including hands-on project management, direct client interactions, ad hoc social media consultation, building strategic recommendations, monitoring & optimizations of strategies, managing junior team members, responsible for routing approvals, working within the broader IAT, and publishing content on social media.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead client communications with supervision from manager and reliably represent agency to both internal and external stakeholders
- Track status of account activities and take a lead role in proactively sharing updates with clients
- Lead status meetings and maintain consistent touchpoints across the broader IAT and client teams
- Develop social and digital content strategies, based on the understanding of the client’s brand message, voice, objectives and target audiences.
- Provide creative and strategic input on social and digital projects.

Job Qualifications
