Senior Associate, Chicago

We are looking for a strong Senior Associate for our Consumer Practice in Chicago who can support multi-channel campaigns and help bring to life the best in-culture ideas for some of the most iconic (and sweet!) brands.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior associate with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience and a background in consumer, consumer-tech, travel, fashion and/or CPG PR.
  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
  • Strong experience with both large-scale and start-up business environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written.
  • Contribution to earned media campaigns including thought leadership, product launches, earned-first creative campaigns, and more.

Salary Range: $59,000 USD – $65,000 USD

About the Role

We’re seeking an accomplished healthcare communications leader to serve as a strategic partner leading clients, new business efforts and operations as part of the Boston Health team leadership. This critical role combines senior client leadership with hands-on execution for corporate healthcare and corporate health social assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Business Growth

  • Own day-to-day client relationships and serve as the trusted strategic counsel on corporate healthcare communications assignments
  • Drive client satisfaction and organic growth by anticipating needs and delivering innovative solutions
  • Lead new business development efforts, from pitch strategy to presentation
  • Manage the commercial aspects of large accounts, including budgets, resources, and profitability

Corporate Healthcare & Social Media Expertise

  • Develop and execute integrated corporate communications strategies that address business challenges in healthcare’s evolving landscape (policy, reputation, stakeholder engagement, issues management)
  • Lead corporate health social media strategy and execution, staying ahead of platform innovations and best practices
  • Navigate the intersection of corporate affairs, regulatory environment, and digital communications
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in the corporate health space and stay ahead of shifts in healthcare corporate affairs, media landscape, and communications technology

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams across offices and disciplines

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare communications experience, including substantial agency background
  • Proven expertise in corporate healthcare communications (corporate reputation, issues management, executive visibility, stakeholder engagement)
  • Demonstrated leadership in healthcare social media strategy and execution
  • Track record managing large pharmaceutical or healthcare accounts with complex, multi-market teams
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare landscape and corporate affairs environment
  • Excellence in client relationship management with ability to operate independently with senior client stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Shape and execute integrated communications strategies in partnership with agency and client teams

Salary Range: $119,000 USD – $155,000 USD

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Associate, Client Experience to join our Brand Practice on the West Coast.

As a Senior Associate, you will be supporting campaign development and execution for global campaigns, events and partnerships, driving awareness, reach and engagement for a global client. The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in consumer culture including lifestyle, tech, entertainment, fandom and sports, and brings a strong point of view on what’s trending across media, social platforms, and the broader cultural landscape.

Responsibilities

CLIENT AND WORK

  • Liaises with clients and assists in day-to-day communications and account management, including organizing client meetings, developing timelines, activity reports, and other key client documentation.
  • Supports a variety of strategic initiatives on client accounts, including assisting in the development and execution of integrated campaigns.
  • Manages and executes key media relations deliverables, including media list creation, pitch development, press releases, reporting, and content creation.
  • Supports campaign and program development by conducting relevant research and contributing creative ideas to media activations, planning meetings, and team brainstorms.
  • Continually builds understanding and knowledge of clients’ business, competitive landscape, and industry trends to provide thoughtful recommendations.

Salary Range: $70,400 USD – $76,000 USD
