Weber Shandwick is looking for a dynamic Vice President to join our Consumer team in our New York office supporting iconic global consumer brands.

We Are Seeking:

We’re looking for a driven, self-motivated Vice President to join our Consumer Practice, working across global lifestyle and CPG brands. You will spearhead high profile, award-worthy, earned-driven integrated activations and productions for one of our top alcohol clients, famous for delivering industry-leading creative activations throughout the year. Working in a dynamic agency-client model, you will work with high profile celebrity talent, influencers and oversee red-carpet events. You will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of our Consumer Practice. You will be responsible for all aspects of a client relationship and account team and will supervise big pieces of business with multiple work streams and team members.

Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities coordinating with client’s goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members and allocating agency resources to match client budgets. You will also be engaged with business development, strategic program planning, analytics, media relations and the development and execution of creative concepts. Ideally, you will have global agency experience, and have executed multiple global campaigns in scale.

Basic Qualifications:

  •         At least 8-10 years’ experience in agency, PR/Communications space
  •         Experienced in Integrated Media Strategy and Media Relations, ideally within the consumer or CPG space
  •         Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business Management, or related field

NYC Salary range: $125,000 – $165,000

Weber Shandwick is seeking a spring intern to work across major consumer brands. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid internship that will start in January 2025. This role is hybrid out of our NYC office.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Plan: Assist in event coordination and logistics 
  • Create: Craft written communications including media materials, from briefing books to media pitches
  • Hustle: Pitch stories to media, develop media lists, track placements, etc.
  • Monitor: Track brands in traditional online and social media during one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Previous campaign reporting experience is a plus
  • Organization: Organize and maintain product closet, check inventory, order product/shipping supplies
  • Product send outs: Compile various product mailers and coordinate product shipments

Weber Shandwick is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Associate for its New York office. This position will offer exposure to multiple areas of client experience, including social media, earned media and digital — offering an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic and engaged team dedicated to delivering innovative marketing and communications solutions for our clients. What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Social media/community management support – inclusive of social listening, channel management, content calendar management, content posting, response matrix development, in-culture engagements
  • Earned media support – researching reporters, building media lists, drafting media materials and pitches, pitching reporters and managing reporter relationships and media opportunities
  • Provide operational support on client projects, as directed
  • Collaborate with teammates–often across multiple offices and departments–on a variety of projects
  • Effectively execute timely media monitoring and reporting daily. Accurately maintain executional tools and trackers for reporting

  • 12+ years of experience in PR inclusive of agency experience working on integrated communications campaigns, specifically social and influencer-led assignments
  • Deep knowledge of the consumer products space, with experience in – and passion for – consumer health, beauty, personal care and lifestyle brands
  • Proven track record of proactively identifying and delivering strategic opportunities that unlock account growth beyond the current or ‘expected’ remit
  • Strong familiarity and expertise related to social, digital and influencer channels that can further fuel earned-driven communications
  • Exceptional client service track record with ability to counsel and interact effectively with senior management at client organizations
  • Experience managing a large CPG account (over $1 million in billings) and the keen organizational skills needed to juggle multiple client needs at once
  • Ability to efficiently manage cross-office teams that span multiple cities and countries with integrated account teams preferred
  • Ability to be both strategic and hands-on, to flex with clients’ needs
  • Success leading teams and developing talent
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership qualities, and a collaborative attitude
  • A willingness to challenge how things have always been done, in a desire to continuously improve
