Are you passionate about research and exploring emerging platforms? Are you a sharp writer, skilled at unraveling complex topics across technology, media and culture, and sharing your unique perspective?

If so, and you’re energized by cutting-edge concepts like A.I.dentity, The Currency of Culture, and Move Over AR and VR – Gen Z shifts to DR, then apply to be a Futures Fellow this summer!

Futures is the AI Accelerator for The Weber Shandwick Collective. Our work spans orientation and training, pilot development, culture change and consulting for some of the world’s best brands and organizations. Fellows are a critical part of our collaborative team.

We’re seeking sharp, motivated individuals who thrive on thinking critically, writing compellingly, and engaging in lively discussions. This role isn’t just about gathering data—it’s about researching (in ways traditional and non) and distilling complex topics, as well as uncovering potential implications. Candidates should excel at working both independently and collaboratively, managing deadlines with ease.

We’re not looking for someone to have all the answers. But real interest in the topics we’re covering is a must (check out the On AI // Newsletter for a better sense).

But if you’re ready to dig into all things tech, media and culture – and what it means for us as communicators – apply today.

Application Deadline: Please submit applications by Thursday, March 28, 2024.

What would you be working on?

Fellows will support all things Futures. You’ll collaborate with Futures colleagues as well as cross-agency teams on various short and long-term research, writing and integrated media projects. As part, you might conduct analysis for a client brief, investigate a new Gen AI Platform for our On AI community, write content for the Futures webpage or score an On AI newsletter byline. You will also work on Fellows team projects.

What’s in it for you?

Beyond the opportunity to flex your writing, tech, creative (and strategic) muscle, you’ll strengthen your resume and network. (The network thing? Huge.) And did we mention it’s paid?

You’ll definitely get a better sense of how to jump-start a career in this changing-by-the-day industry.

What do we look for?

We orient ourselves around diverse perspectives because we care about what you bring to the table. In your responses, tell us what you think, not what you think we want to hear.

What are the logistics of this Fellowship?

The Fellowship runs from 6/3 and through 8/16 and is a 40 hour per week commitment. This is a remote opportunity. – Our team operates in Eastern Standard Time.

How to apply?

Please submit your resume, cover letter. You’ll also answer a few questions as part of your application. Please limit your responses to 300 words max for each question. Feel free to add a portfolio or website if you have one.
