We Are Seeking:
The Manager, Analytics will join the New York Global Intelligence team to focus on delivering insightful and impactful analytics core to the marketing and communications objectives of our clients. Ideal candidates will be excited about evangelizing for the analytics discipline and fluent in the various technologies, platforms and best practices that define the online communications and marketing space.
The position will directly report to and work with the New York office but may support teams across all North American practice areas. This position will be dedicated to several of Weber Shandwick’s largest and most important client relationships.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to Weber Shandwick’s Global Intelligence team, tasked with implementing and developing innovative measurement strategies, leading business intelligence efforts, mentoring a team of junior team members and executing analyses designed to drive deep understanding of consumer behavior and communications performance.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Global Intelligence teammates to create visually compelling reporting and insights that allow client to easily evaluate media and site performance relative to business objectives.
- Work with data analysts to optimize statistical techniques and plan for ongoing reports.
- Develop report structure, data visualization and insights to deliver strategic recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and execute media and siteside A/B tests.
- Work with team of business analysts to interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and data storytelling.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Maintain strong knowledge of both well-established and new-to-market digital marketing analytics tools and platforms. Use that knowledge to continuous inform and enhance the work.
- Evangelize the use of data to inform decision-making at all levels internally and externally with clients and other agency partners.
- Fully utilize tools and platforms designed to automate and accelerate data collection, integration and analysis. Examples: Google Analytics, Domo, Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.
- Develop and apply strategic measurement frameworks to form the basis of ongoing performance assessment and optimization across paid, earned and owned channels.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong capacity to translate data and research into strategic insights and recommendations
- 3-5 years relevant full-time experience; preferably in Audience Insights, Marketing Science, Marketing Analytics, Data Science or Performance Marketing fields.
- Passion for working with data and deriving insights to answer client business questions.
- Experience with with data visualization tools including but not limited to: Tableau, Google Data Studio, Domo, Excel, etc.
- Able to leverage scripting to automate analyses, data cleansing or data integration tasks.
- Experience with relational databases and programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
- Strong foundation in statistics and experimental design.
- Ability to work independently and in an integrated team setting.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, Masters is a plus.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Commitment to learning and the drive to take initiative.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with working in and contributing to a fast-paced, team environment.
- Desire and capacity to take full ownership of work tracks and mentor more junior staff.
- Experience with social listening platforms and/or consumer survey data required.

NYC Salary range: $90,000 – $105,000

The Junior Analyst will be part of the Global Intelligence hub and will be tasked with implementing a number of innovative approaches to solving business challenges on a large OEM brand. There is a huge opportunity to grow professionally while learning from some brilliant thinkers on how to apply insights and analytics in a business context. Working with various data sources, analytics tools and methodologies, you’ll get exposure to clients, their business and marketing challenges.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and familiarity with a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The candidate must have meticulous attention to detail and be able and eager to juggle multiple responsibilities.
The candidate will assist our team with:
- Data analyses to provide visualizations, business strategy and actionable insight including but not limited to;
- Influencer and stakeholder identification
- Conversation analysis (social listening and media intelligence)
- Audience profiling, segmentation and journey mapping
- Social, campaign and multichannel reporting
- Reputation analysis
- Contribute to the design of research/analysis, intelligence gathering, and data collection
- Craft strong points of view and evidence-based analyses
- Assist in the development of presentations, client decks and pitches
Basic Qualifications:
- 1.5-2 years digital analytics experience, experience working in automotive field is beneficial but not required
- Strong capacity to translate data and research into strategic insights and recommendations
- Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manipulate and leverage large scale data with Excel, SQL, Tableau
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Understanding of data structure, visualization and machine learning principles
- An appetite for challenge, innovation and learning new skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team

We are seeking a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mind to help pulling and analyzing data, and extracting deep insights using the systems and tools we are designing in-house. You will be able to leverage data to uncover insights and tell compelling stories.
The Junior Analyst, Analytics + Intelligence will join the New York Analytics + Intelligence team, to focus on delivering impactful analytics insights and research that is core to the marketing and communications of our clients.
This position will be dedicated to several of Weber Shandwick’s largest and most important client relationships and will directly report to the VP of Analytics
What You Will Be Doing:
- Contributing to complex multi-continental engagements by gathering and analyzing a large set data set.
- Analyzing and synthesizing many diverse data points, methodologies and perspectives to create differentiated analyses for our clients.
- Leveraging a variety of descriptive and inferential statistical methods to analyze data from multiple sources.
- Collaborating closely with project leads and cross-functional teams to infuse all aspects of the work with data-driven insights and measurement.
- Utilizing tools and platforms designed to automate and accelerate data collection, integration and analysis. Examples: Google Analytics, Domo, Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.
- Generating insightful reports.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, with major in business or STEM preferred
- 1-3 years of full-time experience; prior marketing analytics or consulting experience is a plus
- Strong interest and capacity to translate data and research into strategic insights and recommendations
- Passion for working with data and deriving insights to answer client business questions.
- Ability to manipulate and leverage large scale data leveraging tools including but not limited to Tableau, Google Data Studio, Domo, Excel, etc.
- Experience with social listening tools such as Talkwalker, Quid, Brandwatch is a plus.
