What You Will Be Doing:
Our team is seeking a Senior Manager with client experience and healthcare communications expertise to serve as a counselor to our clients for one of our largest and fastest growing accounts. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic integrated communications programs, supporting overall strategy, and advising healthcare clients. You will be a conceptual thinker with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
In addition, you should have an agency background in healthcare communications with experience working on pharmaceutical products and/or disease education programs, as well as knowledge of the media landscape and considerations in this space. The ideal candidate will have broad interest in the full remit of healthcare communications, including social/digital, earned media, data and regulatory milestones, and unbranded disease awareness programming. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a specific interest or experience in celebrity campaigns.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage account team implementation of agreed-upon programs, ensuring quality standards are met and desired results are delivered on-budget
- Lead project management, ensuring all activities are moving forward and are within deadlines
- Coordinate among interdisciplinary team of research, creative, digital and media strategists
- Develop a range of external and media materials including press releases, key message documents, pitches, social media content, etc.
- Manage client status reports, including materials trackers, media trackers, and website analytics trackers.
- Manage event and activation logistics in a variety of settings
- Set and meet campaign measurement and evaluation criteria
- Identify training and development needs of junior staff and provide opportunities that enable staff members to reach their full potential
- Assist in financial management for clients, including development of invoices and activity reports
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary (holistic) healthcare communication initiatives, ideally including disease education campaigns
- Familiarity with data and regulatory milestone communications
- Fluency and/or familiarity with earned, digital and social media
- Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Experience with clients and accounts that are measurement and evaluation driven
- Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
- Industry experience in healthcare communications and/or pharmaceuticals
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience in public relations at an agency or corporate in-house (healthcare experience required)
- The ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
- Be a self-starter who works well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
- BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, or in a related field

NYC Salary range: $100,000 – $115,000

Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Vice President, Client Experience to join our Healthcare team. You will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of our Healthcare Practice.
The Vice President will have proven leadership and client service skills, and experience managing integrated communications campaigns that drive measurable impact against our client’s business goals. The candidate will be the day-to-day contact for clients, manage communications across a cross-functional agency team as well as client team, and support flawless execution in the most efficient and productive way. They will display personal ownership and accountability for client engagement, with the ability to cultivate and nurture long-term partnerships and growth. The successful candidate will have experience with leading regulatory and launch communications, as well as scientific and data communications for pharmaceutical products. They will also bring experience concepting and delivering consumer programs to reach patients and the public. For working style, the candidate possess never-ending curiosity, a desire to always do better, and the ability to inspire and connect with teams. They will be a hands-on team member who values people and culture, and drives innovation in the way we communicate on behalf of our clients – including incorporating new technologies and analytics tools in the workflow. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive development of solution-based program strategies and direct development of tactical plans
- Maintain daily client contact, serving as a trusted resource and advisor
- Facilitate cross-functional team integration (strategy, creative, integrated media specialists, A&I, etc.) to deliver on client plans
- Act as effective, two-way translator between clients and teams, actively counseling development of work in the best interest of all parties
- Proactively support and suggest improvements and new ideas to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience
- Have ownership of client financials and profitability
- Coordinate integration with other agency partners
- Successfully navigate conflicts across internal stakeholders, clients and agency partners
- Manage ongoing team resourcing/staffing to ensure successful delivery of work product
- Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 9-12 years of relevant healthcare communications experience, ideally both agency and in-house
- Significant experience providing thought leadership and counsel to senior management
- Ability to translate client needs into workable plans/projects
- Depth in stakeholder mapping and building programs to reach them in engaging ways
- Ability to understand, translate and implement market research and trends data to crystalize communications strategy and deliver on client business goals
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams; mentoring team members
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Confident presenter and persuasive speaker
- Financial acumen in the areas of budgeting, billing and staffing
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree

Salary range: $145,000 USD – $180,000 USD

Candidate must have a deep understanding of the influencer landscape, but also have unique experience developing and executing both earned-led brand and influencer-led campaigns. The following is a general outline of primary responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Execution
- Own responsibilities for executional leadership of multiple client programs, budgets, plans
- Demonstrate an expert-level understanding of the native features, unique audience behaviors, and evolving algorithms of major platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Reddit) to maximize reach and engagement
- Proactively “platform-hack” emerging features (e.g., TikTok branded channels, LinkedIn “Influence” strategies, or Reddit AMAs) to pilot innovative, compliant content formats that break through traditional feed noise
- Facilitate cross-functional team integration (strategy, creative, integrated media specialists, influencer)
- Translate strategies into tactical plans; ensure team deliverables align with strategies
- Oversee the creation of media strategies that take an integrated approach to driving awareness with target audiences
- Proactively support and suggest improvements and new ideas to exceed client and team expectations by leveraging industry knowledge, experience and an always-on curiosity resulting in inspired research
Influencer Strategy & Execution
- Demonstrated passion for influencer marketing both personally and professionally; balanced interest in both healthcare and consumer brands
- Craft influencer strategies for yearlong plans and moment-driven launches
- Research, vet, contract and manage end-to-end talent relations, including complex contract negotiations, usage rights, and multi-channel deliverables.
- Architect comprehensive influencer briefing documents that translate dense compliance guardrails into actionable creative north stars.
- Oversee influencer briefings and content creation, monitor influencer content performance, track against KPIs and prepare detailed recaps
- Manage and build relationships with influencers and third-party agents
- Demonstrated expertise in social influencer tools and platforms, user behaviors and emerging trends
- Monitor platform-specific sentiment shifts in real-time, utilizing social listening tools to identify and mitigate reputational risks before they gain broader media traction.
Client & Team Engagement
- Communicate with clients on daily basis
- Provide basic client counsel
- Serve as a key participant in client meetings and presentations
- Proof and edit client related documents as needed
- Manage client and team resources and deliverables around major campaigns and product launches
- Mentor junior staff
Salary Range: $82,000 USD – $92,000 USD
