Weber Shandwick is seeking an Intern to work across major consumer clients. This Intern will work on iconic food & beverage and beauty brands that are household names. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid internship that will start in January 2026. This role is hybrid out of our NYC office.

 

The Essentials

  • Thinking: Intellectual curiosity and creativity is a must
  • Storytelling: Understand the elements that make a story exciting and how to highlight them in what you read in the press and what you see on social media
  • Communication: Speak, write and edit succinctly and compellingly
  • Management: Meet deadlines, put out fires and multi-task. Work fast, and work well
  • Interpersonal: Play nice, whether it’s in a team, with a team or independently
  • Technical: Know Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Media databases and social tracking tools are a bonus (examples: Cision, Muckrack)
  • Detail-Oriented: Whether it’s a media list or a recap report, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work is essential
  • Spark: Understand what sets you apart

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Research: Analyze brands using various resources, thoughtful and detailed research helps our bring ideas and plans to life
  • Engage: Share big ideas in brainstorms and with teams
  • Plan: Assist in event coordination and logistics 
  • Create: Craft written communications including media materials, from briefing books to media pitches
  • Hustle: Pitch stories to media, develop media lists, track placements, etc.
  • Monitor: Track brands in traditional, online, and social media during some of their biggest PR moments of the year. Previous campaign reporting experience is a plus
  • Organization: Organize and maintain product closet, check inventory, order product/shipping supplies
  • Product send outs: Compile various product mailers and coordinate product shipments

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must be a college graduate by the start of the internship or have demonstrated transferrable skills
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week starting January

 

NYC Salary range: $20.00 – $20.00

Weber Shandwick is looking for a Senior Manager to join our Consumer team in our New York office.

We Are Seeking:

We’re looking for a strong, motivated, hard-working and curious Senior Manager to join our Consumer Practice, working across lifestyle and CPG brands. You will spearhead high profile, award-worthy, earned-driven integrated activations and productions. You will work with high profile celebrity talent, influencers and red-carpet events. You will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of our Consumer Practice. You will be responsible for all aspects of a client relationship and account team. You will supervise big pieces of business with multiple work streams and team members.

Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities coordinating with client’s goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members and allocating agency resources to match client budgets. You will also be engaged with business development, strategic program planning, analytics, media relations and the development and execution of creative concepts. Ideally, you will have agency or consulting experience in the Consumer communications or beauty/lifestyle space.

Account Director, Client Experience, Healthcare

The Account Director will have proven leadership and client service skills, and experience managing integrated global communications programs. The candidate will be the day-to-day contact for clients, manage communications across a cross-functional agency team as well as client team, and support flawless execution in the most efficient and productive way. They will display personal ownership and accountability for client engagement, with the ability to cultivate and nurture long-term partnerships and client satisfaction.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain daily client contact, serving as a trusted resource and advisor
  • Facilitate cross-functional team integration (strategy, creative, integrated media specialists, etc.) to deliver on client plans
  • Act as effective, two-way translator between clients and teams, actively counseling development of work in the best interest of all parties
  • Proactively support and suggest improvements and new ideas to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience
  • Manage workstreams with a focus on consumer and HCP programming and thought leadership. 
  • Have ownership of client financials and profitability
  • Coordinate integration with other agency partners
  • Successfully navigate conflicts across internal stakeholders, clients and agency partners
  • Manage ongoing team resourcing/staffing to ensure successful delivery of work product
  • Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6-8 years of relevant global healthcare communications agency experience
  • Ability to translate client needs into workable plans/projects
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing high-performing teams; mentoring team members
  • Confident presenter and persuasive speaker
  • Financial acumen in the areas of budgeting, billing and staffing
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree
