Mike is co-founder and managing partner of the Black Rock Group, where he crafts media strategy, issue advocacy and crisis communications for companies in energy, technology, transportation, finance, restaurants and retail. A veteran political operative since 1992, Mike blends campaign instincts with policy expertise and is a regular CNN and NBC analyst, appearing on Meet the Press, State of the Union and outlets worldwide.

 

Previously, Mike served as Assistant to the President for Communications in the Trump White House, overseeing congressional, Cabinet, digital, media and surrogate operations. He earlier led Americans for Job Security, was executive director of the Ripon Society and its educational fund, and began his career on the Bush–Quayle ’92 campaign. Mike also sits on the boards of the Franklin Center for Public Policy Exchange and Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service.
