Based in London with an EMEA-wide remit, Cox will be responsible for driving business development, strategy and client innovation through the integration of digital and content publishing. Cox will report to Jason Wellcome, global head of Mediaco, and will partner with Weber Shandwick’s fast-growing group of production studios, digital and content strategists, and client and practice leaders across EMEA.

Cox joins Weber Shandwick from DigitasLBi where he served as Digital Strategy Partner and Strategic Guild Leader. He brings with him considerable experience within social media, marketing, digital journalism and content creation. Based out of Australia and the UK, Cox worked for 10 years within digital journalism at BBC News and the Australian Associated Press, amongst others. He left the Australian Associated Press as Head of Digital before taking up an agency role at NixonMcInnes and co-founding his own consultancy that provided support for the World Wildlife Fund as well as marketing, hotel and leisure companies. As a social media and marketing consultant, Cox has worked across content and creative strategy (planning) disciplines, as well as business consultancy to a variety of blue chip brands, including Coca-Cola, Channel 4, HSBC and Barclaycard.
