The Weber Shandwick Collective (TWSC) announced the newest class of employees selected to participate in its Explore Program — an opportunity that provides up to two weeks at a TWSC office in a different city or country from their own home office. Out of an applicant pool of hundreds of employees worldwide, all detailing how the opportunity would support their career development, 21 Explorers were chosen to travel beginning in Fall 2024 to each region the Collective represents: APAC, EMEA, LatAm and North America, to cities including Tokyo, Berlin, Los Angeles and more.

“Our employee experience is focused on expanding opportunities and fostering growth,” said Susan Howe, President, The Weber Shandwick Collective. “Our leadership team was thrilled at the outstanding number of high-quality, imaginative applications and to see the overall enthusiasm so many employees have to help our Collective grow.”

The selection team — a cross-functional group of market leaders — evaluated the merit of each application alongside the business needs of the applicant’s desired office. Taking into consideration TWSC’s core values of curiosity, courage, inclusion and impact, they considered what new understanding, skills and perspective the participants would gain from the experience.

Applicants shared their desires to foster continuous learning by enhancing innovative practices to ensure TWSC’s communications are culturally relevant; expanding interpersonal skills and gaining exposure to other specialist skillsets – while optimizing processes and workflows to support new ways of thinking. “I found myself yearning to learn and observe more,” wrote one applicant. “This program is a great way to do that.”

Congratulations to this year’s Explorers! Stay tuned for more details of their journeys along the way.
