Senior Manager, Client Experience, Healthcare

We are seeking a strong Senior Manager to join our Healthcare Practice. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in elevating the long-term success of our Health practice.

You will serve as the day-to-day client liaison, responsible for partnering with senior team members to supervise major pieces of business across several work streams. Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities, planning and delivering against clients’ goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members, and allocating agency resources to match client budgets.

In this role, you will be working on developing and overseeing annual plans, key messages/ corporate narratives reputation management, executive thought leadership, internal communications, crisis communications, and integrated media strategies to protect and drive corporate reputation and value proposition narratives for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and health association clients and prospects. We’re looking for someone with an equal passion for corporate communications and healthcare. Who understands product portfolios and pipelines as much as corporate communications. This individual must be an excellent people leader and client counselor, with a willingness and drive to roll up their sleeves and stay close to the work.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Day-to-day client support and counsel
  • Driving communications support around campaigns
  • Working with several specialists including media, digital and creative
  • Working with senior counselors on strategy
  • Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of their skills
  • Maintain financial responsibility for accounts
  • Effectively manage team utilization and maintain financial responsibility for accounts

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • At least 5 years’ PR/communications experience, preferably with corporate experience and/or healthcare experience

Salary range: $100,000 – $115,000

  • Manage ongoing team resourcing/staffing to ensure successful delivery of work product
  • Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6-8 years of relevant healthcare communications agency experience
  • Ability to translate client needs into workable plans/projects
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing high-performing teams; mentoring team members
  • Confident presenter and persuasive speaker
  • Financial acumen in the areas of budgeting, billing and staffing
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree

We Are Seeking:

We’re looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Senior Vice President to join our Consumer Practice, working across global lifestyle and CPG brands. You will spearhead high profile, award-worthy, earned-driven integrated activations and productions for one of our top alcohol clients, famous for delivering industry-leading creative activations throughout the year. Working in a dynamic agency-client model, you will work with high profile celebrity talent, influencers and oversee global experiences for fans. You will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of not only this business, but also our Consumer Practice. You will be responsible for all aspects of a client relationship and account team and will supervise big pieces of business with multiple work streams and team members.

Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities coordinating with client’s goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members and allocating agency resources to match client budgets. You will also be engaged with business development, strategic program planning, analytics, media relations and the development and execution of creative concepts.  The right person for this role has:

  • 12+ years of experience in PR inclusive of agency experience working on integrated communications campaigns
  • Deep knowledge of the consumer products space, with experience in – and passion for – beauty, personal care and lifestyle brands
  • Proven track record of proactively identifying and delivering strategic opportunities that unlock account growth beyond the current or ‘expected’ remit
  • Strong familiarity and expertise related to social, digital and influencer channels that can further fuel earned-driven communications
  • Exceptional client service track record with ability to counsel and interact effectively with senior management at client organizations
  • Experience managing a large CPG account (over $1 million in billings) and the keen organizational skills needed to juggle multiple client needs at once
  • Ability to efficiently manage cross-office teams that span multiple cities and countries with integrated account teams preferred
  • Ability to be both strategic and hands-on, to flex with clients’ needs
  • Success leading teams and developing talent
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership qualities, and a collaborative attitude
