About the Role
Weber Shandwick is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. You will be joining a team of business strategists, data scientists and data engineers to build innovative data solutions and would work at the intersection of Data Engineering and Applied Generative AI.
The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, test, implement and maintain data solutions that support clients’ Enterprise Analytics. The incumbent will work with multiple technology partners to provision and maintain a data infrastructure used for media analyses. The role will work closely with business analysts and data scientists to ensure the platform meets business demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance for analytical and operational workloads.
- Implement data quality, governance, and security best practices.
- Applied AI:
- Collaborate with data scientists to productionize AI/ML models, including Generative AI solutions.
- Integrate Gen AI solutions into business workflows, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Platform & Tooling:
- Leverage cloud platforms (preferably GCP) for data engineering and AI workloads.
- Develop dashboards, reports, or visualizations (Qlik experience is a plus).
- Automate data workflows and implement CI/CD for data pipelines and AI services.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer using proven, industry-leading cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Proficiency coding in Python for data processing, automation, and AI/ML workflows.
- Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation, optimization, and analytics.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
- Experience developing sophisticated data pipelines using AWS EMR, Apache Spark, etc.
- Creative-minded individual, enjoys open-ended problems and challenging the status quo
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to conduct independent work and manage projects from beginning to end
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant GCP or AWS certifications
- Experience with social media data and APIs
- Working knowledge of BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.
- Experience working in a consulting company or agency

Washington DC Salary range: $110,000 – $130,000

Director, Analytics
Director, Influencer Analytics
Influencer marketing has evolved beyond sponsored posts and brand mentions and is now a strategic lever for full funnel brand activations, performance, and cultural relevance. In this role, you will lead our agency’s influencer analytics function, reporting directly into our SVP of Analytics who will guide your progression. You will turn complex data into powerful narratives that shape influencer strategies and demonstrate true impact to clients.
You will be responsible for architecting how we measure influencer effectiveness at scale, guiding both real-time optimization and long-term program strategy. Your work will not only fuel client success but also set standards across the agency for how we define, track, and benchmark influencer performance. You will lead a cross-office analytics taskforce, formalize internal tools and frameworks, and drive consistent measurement across a wide range of verticals and platforms.

You will play a key role on our team, leading the development of analytics-driven projects crossing multiple geographies and issues and helping to mentor and grow the skill sets of emerging talent in our practice.
You must be an excellent communicator, strategic client counselor and prepared to “roll up your sleeves” and stay close to the work.
Responsibilities
- Be the subject matter expert in influencer marketing analytics, providing guidance and strategic insight to internal teams and clients while also able to explain nuances of analysis to more junior staff.
- Collaborate with account, strategy, and creative teams to ensure influencer analytics are embedded at every stage of the campaign lifecycle.
- Develop and deploy a standardized toolkit for influencer measurement, including scorecards, dashboards, and data collection protocols.
- Design and own measurement frameworks that capture full-funnel impact of influencer campaigns — from reach and engagement to sentiment, brand lift, and conversion.
- Create and deliver pre-campaign baselines, post-campaign, quarterly, and year-end reports that provide performance insights, business implications, and clear storytelling and actionable ideas for executive audiences.
- Lead the agency’s Influencer Marketing Analytics Taskforce, driving alignment across North America on methodologies, tools, and reporting approaches.
- Contribute to the development of advanced models and methodologies, such as ROI forecasting, attribution frameworks, and creator value modeling.
- Partner with Project Management (PM) and Operations (Ops) to understand team allocations and profitability of billable work for each project, work alongside team leads on optimizing resourcing across billable projects and new business
Qualifications
- Strong interest in the creator economy, platform evolution, and the cultural impact of influencers.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience translating data and research into strategic insights and recommendations.
- 5+ years of relevant full-time experience, with at least 4 years in influencer marketing analytics, social data, or digital measurement within an agency environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing measurement frameworks, performance benchmarking, and campaign optimization for influencer programs.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization; experience with Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or Google Data Studio preferred. Experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus but not required.
- Desire and capacity to take ownership of workstreams, manage fast deadlines and agile deliverable processes, nurture client relationships, collaborate with diverse teams.
- Work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
