A snapshot of the role:

Based in London and working as part of our in-house, integrated design team, you are a passionate, Midweight Designer who comes from an integrated agency background. You are a team player who prides themselves on elevating briefs, learning new skills and adapting to any creative brief that might come your way.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  •  Produce best in-class design across a number of touch points, including OOH, press, social, global tool kits, pitch concepts, presentations and brand guidelines.
  • Supporting and partnering with our creative team to craft work from the conceptual phase through to delivery.
  • Have the ability to work on a number of projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and creative standards are always maintained.
  • Be an effective communicator, who can present their design work internally.
  • You are passionate about design as a discipline and will proactively champion innovation and craft.

Ideal experience required:

  • Previous experience working in a creative environment as a Midweight Designer.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential as well as a working knowledge of PowerPoint. Experience using AI tools such as Firefly, Midjourney etc also essential.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a number of brilliantly designed and crafted pieces of work you have produced for digital, print and social.
  • Great communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues
  • Taking feedback and elevating briefs
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for the latest design trend

What’s happening?

We are an award winning and forward-thinking People team looking for a People Advisor to join us.  Our People Advisor will act as a trusted partner to employees and managers, providing guidance and support on a range of people related matters. This role involves advising on employee relations, implementing HR policies, supporting performance management, and promoting a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about people and organisational success. You may already be a People Advisor in a smaller organisation seeking a new challenge, or an experienced People Coordinator looking to take a step up. 

What will you be doing? 

Working across the UK with our Senior Advisor and Apprentice, supporting the People Leads, you will provide support in a range of areas including: 

  • General HR support across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, probation, employee relations, appraisals, training, employee queries, and exit procedures.
  • Working closely with the broader people team to deliver consistent, responsive, and forward-looking HR guidance and messaging that drives real impact. 
  • Acting as first line of support for dealing with and responding to queries (for example employment law, flexible working, leaves, maternity, paternity, grievances, disciplinaries and performance management).
  • Supporting and advising managers on performance management issues (PIP and probation), as well as disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings; escalating complex employee cases as required.
  • Managing the probation process, including taking managers through the process and keeping up to date on employee progress, ensuring all probation meetings and corresponding paperwork is done in a timely manner.
  • Coaching managers through effective appraisal reviews, and training on the system used.
  • Proactively managing long-term or repetitive absence including occupational health assessments and group income protection policy cases in conjunction with the IPG DXTRA Payroll & Benefits team.
  • Maintaining a proficient working knowledge of monthly payroll inputting processes required to be completed by IPG DXTRA HR Shared Services team, and ensure changes are completed in a timely and accurate manner for a successful sign off.
  • Supporting client groups with exit interviews, working with the Senior People Advisor to identify trends and recommendations.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the People function, making improvements to our processes to ensure they are efficient and ensure we are providing excellent client service.
  • Contributing to the generation of ideas and assist the wider People team in the delivery of People projects and initiatives across the Company such as onboarding, DEI, surveys, and various internal events.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships to support all stakeholders.
  • Leading on general queries for your Client Group(s) and providing HR support and advice across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, probation, employee relations, appraisals, training, employee queries, and exit procedures. 
  • Providing best practice guidance and supporting managers on a variety of employee relations cases to maintain a high standard of employee experience and organisational integrity. Escalate complex cases as needed to maintain a high standard of employee experience and organisational integrity. 
  • Supporting with the advancing of our People data and analysis offerings. Collaborate with the Senior People Advisor to uncover trends, transforming insights into actionable recommendations that drive continuous improvement across Weber Shandwick, UK.

  • Deep experience in designing for digital across a range of media and touchpoints, including but not limited to enterprise websites, campaign microsites, mobile applications, web applications, and social campaigns. You can apply a strong understanding of a brand’s visual language, UI standards, and accessibility requirements to all that you create
  • Extensive experience creating visually engaging brand design systems that live across multiple digital channels. You can create new brands from scratch or elevate existing brand systems.
  • Experience developing high concept visuals for new business pitches
  • Proven expertise in creating extensive atomic digital design systems for web and mobile

Social-First Graphic & Motion Designer

SOCIAL-FIRST GRAPHIC & MOTION DESIGNER

Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading marketing and communications agencies, is seeking a Social-first Graphic & Motion Designer to work on a global consumer electronics client. You’ll be hands-on during the entire creative process for the development of social content, digital ads, online video, and full 360 campaigns. Brainstorming concepts. Pitching ideas. Designing content. Making it move. And working with copywriters, social strategists and others to bring the ideas to life. You should know what type of content resonates on social and be curious about our client’s brand and business. You’ll have the chance to work closely with the brightest minds across the North American Weber Shandwick network, solving provocative client challenges as you develop in your creative career. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft content that helps build our client’s brand with social-first thinking and shareworthy executions
  • Stay current on social trends, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into your static and motion designs
  • Ensure all creative adheres to existing brand guidelines (and social best practices where applicable)
  • Wear multiple hats: we’re a collaborative and supportive team, so you’ll have the opportunity to play multiple roles throughout concepting and execution phases
  • Use video and animation editing software to produce eye-catching visuals and animated graphics on agile campaign timelines
  • Ensure presentation designs are incredibly polished and visually tell a story (rather than relying on words-on-a-slide)
  • Comp images in Photoshop with true-to-life realism
  • Assist on production shoots

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in motion graphics, editing and video production, as well as design
  • A passion for social media with 1+ year of social content creation experience (this can include content for your personal channels as long as it shows elevated creativity and an awareness of social trends and tropes)
  • Extreme comfort with all relevant motion and design software (Eg: Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere and After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), as well as presentation software (Eg: PowerPoint)
  • Basic HTML5 coding skills
  • Self-motivated entrepreneurial and endlessly curious
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage your own time in a deadline-driven environment
  • Must have a portfolio (share anything that conveys the way you think or approach assignments, even if it was never produced or was a personal project)
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in consumer electronics a plus
