What you’ll do all day:
- Create: Craft written communications including statements, key messages, and tough Q&As, and more
- Research: Analyze brand risks and live issues using various tracking tools
- Engage: Problem solve in real-time and with teams
- Hustle: Provide support across a range of complex, high-profile corporate issues/crisis communications situations
- Monitor: Track brands in traditional and social media
What we’re looking for in a candidate:
- Thinking: Do it out of the box. Actually, it’s best if you’re wholly unfamiliar with the concept of boxes
- Communication: Speak, write and edit succinctly and compellingly
- Digital: Know all the old school and the latest social media platforms, what brands are doing on them and what they should do next
- Management: Meet deadlines, put out fires and multi-task. Work fast, and work well
- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work are critical
- Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with platforms like Cision, Muckrack, Meltwater, Talkwalker, and/or TV Eyes a plus
- Dynamic: You must be able to work in a fast-paced agency environment and juggle tasks

Requirements:
- Must be available to start January 2025
- The ideal candidate must be a college graduate, a current senior or have demonstrated transferrable skills

NYC Salary range: $20.00 – $20.00

Account Director, Social & Influencer Strategy

Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a day-to-day social strategy contact for a major client, becoming an expert on our clients’ business and understanding how their communications objectives help achieve business goals
- Work with clients in a solution-oriented fashion to execute against social and influencer content strategies, including collaborating with cross-functional partners to address tactical issues related to social content planning/development, influencer coordination and paid media planning
- Ability to confidently advise internal and client teams on integrated digital marketing strategy and execution
- Develop project plans, calendars, and workflow processes for a variety of tactics, including always-on/evergreen and campaign-based social, digital and influencer efforts
- Deep experience within cross-channel digital marketing strategies, working closely with different teams including creative, media, planning and PR. Oversee content production from concept to execution to measurement
- Strong understanding of digital analytics and measurement and performance-driven insights
- Maintain a keen interest in current industry trends, and act as a thought leader in elevating these trends to directly and indirectly affect clients and our digital health practice
- Understand industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client, particularly the regulatory landscape and its implications on the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry’s use of social media.
- Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
- Serve as an active relationship manager and negotiator in influencer opportunities and partnerships
- Act as lead social/influencer point person within the integrated agency team and especially during major campaign launch moments
- Experiment constantly. Pilot new tactics and strategies and prove their effectiveness through data.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Be a lead digital and social communications strategist for healthcare clients
- Be a demonstrated self-starter and work well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to deliver client success

- Expand the digital deliverables and offerings for our team
- Assist in the development and implementation of paid, owned and earned programs
- Efficiently manage client and team resources and deliverables around major campaigns and projects

- Have excellent organization and time management skills

Basic Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience within the digital marketing industry with a strong understanding of integrated strategies

The Weber Shandwick Toronto office is seeking a Senior Vice President to join its C-Suite Advisory and Risk team.
What we are seeking:
We are looking for a seasoned change agent to help us grow our Global Crisis and Issues Practice, drive a broad range of issues-oriented and proactive reputation campaigns, and help clients prepare for and manage complex issues and live crises.
You should be able to lead day-to-day client and team activity, cultivate strong relationships with clients, help craft and lead execution of new programs, plans and strategies, and work with a broad set of media (business and trade; traditional print, online and broadcast). You can drive forward plans and programs within set parameters and achieve outstanding results for clients. Finally, you should be curious, resourceful, and entrepreneurial. Previous agency experience and understanding of advanced data analytics platforms and resources is a must.
You will have worked with clients across multiple industries and understand how to work with data and analytics experts to generate insights and inform counsel.
You will play an important role on our team, leading a broad range of projects and developing new business opportunities. What you will be doing:
Client Support:
- Serve as primary or day-to-day client contact on a wide range of issues and crisis communications situations for companies and organizations, including product safety issues and recalls, adverse events, pricing and access issues, workplace culture, litigation, regulatory compliance issues, misinformation campaigns, DEI-related matters, investigative reporting, and more.
- Build, nurture and expand client relationships.
- Develop and draft crisis plans, media strategies, reactive media statements, talking points, FAQs, memos, crisis simulations, and other deliverables as needed.
- Oversee and execute proactive media outreach and reactive media relations strategies in connection with issues and crisis management strategies, as needed.
- Provide regular counsel to clients and colleagues.

New Business and Marketing:

Qualifications:

- Skilled crisis and issues media relations strategist and practitioner with top-tier media relations experience.
- Familiarity with the latest digital trends in social media strategy, tools, and analytics.
- Experience with corporate reputation and brand safety/protection through integrated communications programs.
