A snapshot of the role:
Weber Shandwick is looking for a talented VP (Associate Director) to join the Corporate Enterprise team based in Amsterdam. The Dutch team falls under the broader Benelux agency umbrella, giving access to a bigger pool of talent and resources.
The NL team is made up of a smart, dedicated, and fun team members with expertise spanning B2B, Corporate, Public Affairs, Crisis/Issues, Social Impact/ESG and Technology.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner who is curious, ambitious, proactive and friendly. The successful candidate will enjoy working on a portfolio of well-known global brands, executing integrated campaigns involving earned media, strategy, creative, analytics and digital. You’ll lead the day-to-day running of accounts, provide counsel, manage budgets, and lead and inspire your team to deliver flawless execution of activities.
What will you be doing?
- Provide high-level strategic counsel to clients, being able to proactively identify and assess problems, define logical and effective strategies, and implement solutions on their behalf
- Be a highly trusted senior point of contact for clients, responsible for leading a team to deliver an exceptional client experience
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the development of both over-arching strategy and creative campaign ideas
- Act as a facilitator, bringing in specialist practitioners within the practice and throughout the wider Geneva office to support in the delivery of integrated communications campaigns
- Lead market co-ordination for Dutch, international and global campaigns
- Oversee the flawless execution of media/campaign strategies of multiple accounts simultaneously
- Draft copy to a very high standard while also editing and overseeing the quality of all other content produced by teams
- Demonstrate proficiency in understanding communications and business goals, and the ability to link team efforts to these in order to demonstrate value and impact for clients
- Stay on top of industry news, trends and influencers in specific industries and be able to link these to your clients’ objectives
- Work effectively with finance colleagues to support the client lead in client budgeting and resource management, including forecasting, hours allocation for team members, project and plan budgeting, managing servicing levels
- Lead in the development and presentation of new business pitches
- Help with the training and development of junior team members

- Experience working with multiple disciplines and specialists to deliver integrated campaigns
- Mastery in copywriting a range of external and media materials including press releases, key message documents, pitches, social media content, etc.
- Familiarity with quantitative analytics and an ability to set and evaluate campaign metrics
- Strong presentation skills and experience in new business pitching
- Native/bilingual Dutch level (Dutch as a second language is accepted)
- Experience developing and managing campaigns and being a day-to-day lead for clients, with a track record of providing strategic counsel

Key Responsibilities
- Support account leads to manage client relationships on a day-to-day basis
- Implement local and global PR strategies, plan and develop PR collaterals (e.g. communication guidelines, press releases, press kits, newsletters, etc.) for key product launches, brand news and thought leadership
- Monitor and track client, competitor, industry and cultural news and prepare coverage reports
- Support account lead with planning and development of corporate and sustainability-related initiatives and collaterals for our clients that covers traditional and social media.
- Support account lead with influencer management, social activations and content creation.
- Provide media relations support – conducting research, building target media lists, drafting media materials, pitching to journalists, and managing media relationships and opportunities
- Prepare timely team and client updates on all stages of project processes; prepare accurate and thorough conference call or client meeting recaps
- Assist and contribute to the development of long-term strategic clients plans and program recommendations, developing budgets, generating recommendations and creating presentations
- Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
- Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership on executional issues specific to assigned programs
Skills, Experiences and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sustainability communications, public relations, or corporate communications, preferably in a consultancy or agency setting. Candidates with more experience will be considered for a Senior Associate role.
- Knowledge of the communications and sustainability industry
- Strong communication and presentation skills

Digital PR and Content, Manager
Weber Shandwick Korea is seeking an experienced communications professional with a passion for content marketing to join Seoul office. You will be part of our Digital team which develops online content targeting an international audience for leading global companies. As a manager/senior manager, you will be responsible for seamless project delivery across client accounts. The primary focus of the role will be managing the planning and production of content for clients’ social media accounts and websites, devising the editorial calendar, stakeholder management, and overseeing the project lifecycle through analytical reporting.
What You Will Do:
- Plan and execute integrated communication campaigns across digital channels to support brand strategy, awareness, and PR goals
- Develop and implement brand social media strategies across platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn
- Provide strategic consulting and communications support to clients
- Analyze consumer, media, and industry trends to generate relevant insights

What You Will Need:

- Knowledge of the full digital eco-system: Social media, websites (particularly corporate newsrooms) & blogs, digital ads, SEO, analytics, EDMs, apps, etc.
- Able to operate various digital platforms, conduct performance analysis, and write reports
- Holistic ability in corporate content marketing from developing strategic plans to production and amplification
