Financial Analyst
Weber Shandwick’s office is seeking a Financial Analyst. The person in this position will play an important role in the firm’s revenue recognition process, and will report to the Regional Finance Director.
Duties include:
- Manage the job setup process to ensure job codes are setup timely and in accordance with the SOW
- Perform month end close process
- Ensure account managers stay in compliance with client and agency policies including revenue recognition, job set-up, billing, time entry and accounts payable.
- Analyze time data for accuracy as well as performing time transfers as needed
- Help Process Vendor Invoices
- Review and Check client facing and internal budget trackers for correctness and accuracy
- Guide financial process by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures
- Review and Reconcile company credit card account statements
- Manage Intercompany Office Agreements (IOA) process for timeliness and accuracy between offices.
- Review monthly non-bill audit and process transfers
- Responsible for both new vendor and new client set-up through respective systems (Ariba/Range/SAP)
- Ad-hoc requests, special projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications include:
- 1+ years’ experience as an accountant/finance professional or recent college graduate
- BA/BS degree in Finance preferred
- Experience operating in a SOX compliant environment is a plus –
- Experience working in a client service/agency environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines
- Revenue recognition experience/knowledge
- Very strong control skills
- Excellent teamwork and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Hyperion and be proficient in Microsoft Office (with an expertise in Excel)

- Attend brainstorms alongside strategic planners, art directors and copywriters.
- Assist account teams with ad-hoc tasks such as project management and billing support.

Account Director, Client Experience - Healthcare
Account Director – Healthcare
The Weber Shandwick Toronto Office is currently seeking an Account Director for its healthcare clients, focused on leadership of multiple healthcare accounts.
The AD is responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the long-term success of our healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have pharma/healthcare subject matter expertise and a proven track record of managing campaigns.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead for multiple healthcare accounts responsible for relationship building, counsel and thought leadership
- Working across internal specialists including media, digital and creative
- Working with senior counselors on strategy and development of creative concepts
- Supporting the success of individual team members and effectively working to allocate agency resources
- Project management, budgeting and billing
Additional Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of agency experience with a focus on healthcare brands and the pharma industry
- Proven ability to turn ideas into workable plans
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written business communication skills
- Aptitude for budget management
- Can complete challenging projects within set parameters
- Experience communicating with healthcare professionals and knowledgeable about healthcare media channels
- Experience developing relationships with third party organizations (PAGs), healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers, and in attending external meetings and events representing the agency and/or client (medical conferences, third party, events, etc.)
- Knowledge of Canada’s regulatory environment and experience as it relates to health-related products (PAAB, ASC, Health Canada) and social and digital communication
