THE ROLE

This Freelance Creative Director role is for someone who thrives at the intersection of culture and creativity. You understand how to make ideas travel organically, without relying on big media budgets.

You’ll lead creative across major consumer accounts, developing earned-first campaigns that show up in feeds, media, and everyday conversations. You’ll bring bold concepts to life, write with purpose and clarity, and inspire teams to create work that earns attention.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the development of earned-first creative ideas across earned and owned channels
  • Translate insights and strategy into powerful creative platforms
  • Craft sharp scripts, content. social posts, and content the lives across channels
  • Work collaboratively with strategy, media, and client experience to create breakthrough campaigns
  • Help drive new business efforts, from ideation, to crafting deck narratives, to in-person pitching.
  • Mentor junior creatives and help shape a collaborative, high-performing team

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • ~10 years of experience in creative roles at agencies or environments rooted in earned media
  • A portfolio filled with work that earned attention and sparked conversations
  • Exceptional writing skills across formats and platforms
  • Experience creating integrated campaigns across social, influencer, PR, and experiential
  • A team-first mindset, entrepreneurial energy, and love for great ideas
  • Confidence in the room and the ability to present, persuade, and inspire

Salary Range: $125.00

Senior Vice President, Integrated Project Management

Weber Shandwick is seeking a highly strategic and collaborative Senior Vice President to join our Client Operations and Project Management capability. This individual will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, cultivating talent, and aligning business objectives with operational strategies to achieve long-term success.

As one of the senior-most leaders in this space, the SVP will be responsible for overseeing large-scale new account transitions, driving transformations within existing client work, and leading the operational setup for new clients, including establishing processes, teams, and ways of working to ensure success. Additionally, the role will focus on elevating internal processes, ensuring financial health, and fostering team growth across regions and markets.

The SVP will work closely with the NA Operations lead, agency leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams to set new standards for operational efficiency, team management, and business growth, all while maintaining Weber Shandwick’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set a clear vision for operational excellence and implement best practices that drive transformational change and agency-wide impact and within the Client Operations and PM capability.
  • Strategically uncover growth opportunities within departments and lead the Client Operations and PM leadership team through focused, actionable planning to drive results.
  • Lead large-scale transformation efforts tailored to existing clients and internal teams, aligning operations with Weber Shandwick’s business goals and ensuring consistent optimization and efficiency across all functions.
  • Lead the operational setup for new clients by establishing streamlined processes, building high-performing teams, and defining ways of working to ensure seamless integration and delivery excellence.
  • Provide strategic operational consultation by identifying risks and opportunities, driving large-scale operational models, and delivering actionable solutions.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring seamless issue mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with agency leadership to reinforce and promote the value of Client Operations and PM services as a growth engine for the agency and drive overall growth of the capability.
  • Oversee the fiscal health across Clients and the remit assigned within he Client Operations and PM capability, ensuring billability, utilization, and sustainable financial practices.
  • Negotiate large-scale, global and complex scopes, agreements, and budgets with clients, procurement, and internal parties such as Finance and Legal.
  • Provide guidance on margin management and revenue growth by reviewing scopes of work and partnering with leadership on effective financial strategies.
  • Lead casting efforts across the capability, ensuring optimal resource utilization and client satisfaction.
  • Lead the development of high performing teams by strategically define training opportunities, lead educational sessions with senior agency leaders/offices, and actively sponsor and mentor emerging diverse talent to foster a culture of inclusivity.
  • Drive inclusive hiring practices in collaboration with Talent Acquisition while managing and coaching a diverse team to develop the next generation of Weber Shandwick leaders

Requirements:  

  • 15+ years of experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex operations at a global scale
  • Deep understanding of operational processes, financial management, and business strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams while fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
  • Experience negotiating client contracts, scopes, and budgets with a focus on delivering both strategic and financial value.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and clients.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Resource Management Intern

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Resource Management Intern to join our Operations team in New York.

 

We’re seeking a Resource Management Intern to join our growing Resource Management (RM) team in New York. You will work closely with project managers, finance, account teams and office/practice leads, as well as other members of the RM team, to gather forward-looking staffing projections for the office, enter the data (or work with PMs to ensure that it is entered) into a centralized tool, and analyze forward-looking and backward-looking data.

Ideally, you’re a juggler, a problem solver, and a quick thinker with a level head and excellent people skills. This important role keeps you on your toes with varying day-to-day work that is both fun and challenging.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assist with talent requests, recommending possible solutions and helping to facilitate conversations that will lead to strong utilization and the offset of unnecessary hires
  • Proactively build positive relationships with all levels of talent, account teams & project managers – act as a widely-known, helpful resource and problem solver
  • Strategically help match talent with needs, taking into account: requests/staff plans provided by account teams and project managers
  • Support the ongoing collection of forward-looking data requiring talent allocations at a project/account and individual level and enter the data into Resource Management Tool
  • Demonstrate an ability to provide intel and answer questions about what people are working on and where/why they have time, ensure that the perceived workload of the group aligns with the data being reported
  • Identify and flag discrepancies, demonstrate an understanding of how to efficiently address them and remove hurdles
  • Prepare for and meaningfully contribute to weekly resourcing meetings/discussions, identifying resourcing issues, and sending action-oriented recaps that keep people on task
  • Facilitate discussions as a result of staffing decisions as needed to keep things moving to resolution
  • Partner with colleagues across other offices to ensure we’re identifying great opportunities for our talent and identifying solutions that service and balance the needs of both the business and the individual

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficient in MAC and PC, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities with a strong attention to detail
  • Utilize company tools to enter allocation data, track staffing trends and summarize results
  • A proven upbeat, enthusiastic and self-starter attitude with the ability to inspire and motivate a variety of team members
  • Possess strong sense of curiosity, solution-oriented mentality, and critical thinking skills as they will be central to general approach to day-to-day needs
  • The ideal candidate must be a college graduate by start of internship
  • Availability: 40 hours a week
