Operationalizing inclusion on all fronts
From sponsorship/mentorship programs for BIPOC talent to expanding Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to creating safe spaces to address difficult topics.
Advancing our DEI efforts…
Companies have an enormous responsibility to drive change. To influence and evoke meaningful action – for their employees, their industry and society at large.
Across The Weber Shandwick Collective, we take that responsibility very seriously.
Because today’s employees expect more. And the role of employers has changed. According to a recent poll, nearly 70% of employees say they believe business is a constructive force for positive social change.
This is why advancing our mission to be the industry’s most inclusive agency is a top priority.
Fostering an environment of equity and belonging in our workplace is core to our being and a force for the progress we want to see – inside our walls, across our industry and beyond.
We believe diversity is fundamental to who we are. Inclusion is fundamental to how we work. And humanity is at the core of everything we do.
Employees in local offices around the globe regularly meet and plan programming to encourage inclusion and engagement – from learning about different life experiences through cultural celebrations and Brave Spaces to employees providing pro-bono support to local non-profit organizations that engage with local organizations that center and support underrepresented communities.
Our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) not only unite and support employees across North America, but also focus on ways to make business impact. These include AFIRE (Asians for Inclusion, Respect and Equity), equitABLE (employees with disabilities and chronic illness), LIGA (LatinX Inclusion & Guidance Alliance) NOIR (Nurturing Our Inclusion and Representation for Black employees) and Q+ (LGBTQIA+ employees and allies).
We offer a number of sponsorship and mentorship programs around the world for focused on nurturing and advancing underrepresented talent.
In 2020, we doubled down on our goal to be the industry's most inclusive agency and made several commitments to work towards this ambition. In our Impact of Inclusion report, we discuss our approach, the powerful ways our teams come together to build community and the work we do in partnership with clients to advance DEI around the world.
