The Weber Shandwick team is seeking a Vice President of Earned Tech Media Strategy with exceptional earned strategy and media relations prowess to support several clients in our Technology Practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the technology sector including corporate and brand reputation building communications, executive visibility, and earned media strategy.

Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains excellent relationships with technology media
- Understands tech industry landscape/issues that may directly and indirectly impact a client
- Have a close pulse on media trends and the ability to develop earned strategies around the new ways information travels through people, outlets and algorithms
- Proactively and reactively crafts and tells compelling stories on behalf of clients
- Leads the development of and is responsible for the execution of earned and integrated media programs
- Develops strategies/plans and media materials
- Brings a client-focused attitude that results in work being performed to the highest quality standards
- Counsels and interacts effectively with clients and leaders at client organizations
- Serves as key team member on client and inter-agency teams
- Mentors, coaches and develops direct reports and more junior team members
- Cultivates and participates in new business opportunities and pitches

Basic Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience. Agency experience preferred.
- Experience leading projects from start to finish, working with integrated teams across various disciplines.
- Tech earned strategy and media relations experience
- Bachelor’s degree
Salary range: $131,000 – $170,000

An experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President (SVP) of Earned Media to lead our earned media efforts for high-profile sports and lifestyle brands. - Strategic Leadership & Media Expertise:

- Crisis Management & Rapid Decision-Making:
- Provide counsel on crisis-related issues, navigating situations with quick, effective decisions and incomplete information.

Qualifications:

- Media Relations Expertise: Deep familiarity with the earned media landscape, along with strong relationships across media categories, including sports, lifestyle, and business.

- Client Service: Track record of exceptional client service, with the ability to effectively counsel senior management at client organizations.

What You Will Be Doing
