Weber Shandwick is seeking an Intern to work on a range of consumer clients. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid, paid internship that will start in September and go through December.

 

From creative brainstorming to day-to-day execution, Weber Shandwick’s Interns become an important part of a talented team that generates groundbreaking, award-winning work. During the internship, you’ll work on initiatives for some of the world’s leading brands and companies.

More about the position:

What you’ll do all day:

  • Create: Craft written communications including media materials, compelling social content, and memos
  • Research: Examine brands, industry trends, and various issues using various resources
  • Analyze: Answer questions, provide insights, and propose recommendations using quantitative and qualitative data
  • Engage: Share big ideas in brainstorms and with teams
  • Hustle: Pitch stories to media, develop media lists, track placements, etc.
  • Monitor: Track brands and issues in traditional and social media and analyze conversations; draft reports summarizing conversation to inform client strategies

  • Thinking: Do it out of the box. Look for holistic and innovative ways to meet needs and challenges. Foster a curious mind and ask thoughtful questions
  • Communication: Speak, write, and edit succinctly
  • Digital: Know digital platforms, what brands are doing with them and best practices
  • Management: Meet deadlines, put out fires, and multi-task. Work fast and work well
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work are critical
  • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with platforms like Cision, Muckrack, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Brandwatch, and/or Quid are a plus
  • Dynamic: You must be able to work in a fast-paced agency environment and juggle multiple time-sensitive tasks
  • Spark: Understand what sets you apart and what motivates you

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must be a college graduate by the start of the internship or have demonstrated transferrable skills
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week starting September

 

Boston salary range: $20.00 – $20.00

Project Manager

Project Manager

Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Project Manager for the Boston Project Management team who will work closely with team members in account, creative, public relations and strategy, as well as report to a VP of Project Management, across a portfolio of brands and/or projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists development of digital, social and PR campaigns; collaborates with internal stakeholders and manages vendors.

  • Fluency and/or familiarity with different types of programs and deliverables, such as creative ideation, social and digital
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project/Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint

Weber Shandwick is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Los Angeles Integrated Project Management team. In this role, you’ll partner with cross-disciplined colleagues to deliver best-in-class campaigns for a range of dynamic brands. Reporting to a Director, VP, or SVP, you’ll manage medium to large-scale projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and deliverables while driving collaboration and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Project Management:Lead the entire project lifecycle—from brief to delivery—for medium-sized and integrated campaigns, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with client objectives. Manage detailed project briefs, ensuring clarity on deliverables, timelines, and team requirements to support successful execution.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:Work with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, paid media, insights, analytics, and account management, to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Scope and Resource Management:Oversee and communicate project SOWs, staff plans, and resource allocations, proactively addressing scope creep and ensuring appropriate talent alignment.
  • Timelines and Risk Mitigation:Create and maintain accurate project timelines, escalate risks as needed, and implement solutions to keep projects on track without compromising quality or budgets.
  • Financial Management:Manage account financials, including SOW development, burn rate tracking, budget reconciliation, and regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Team Support and Development:Mentor junior team members and interns, foster a culture of collaboration and growth.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in an agency or integrated marketing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead medium-scale integrated campaigns, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams (creative, digital, PR, paid media, strategy).
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing SOWs, burn reports, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with creative production, video, digital, social media, and analytics deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and seniority levels.
  • Proficiency with project management tools like Asana, Smartsheet, or Monday.com.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Business).

About the Role

We are looking for a new SVP for our healthcare practice, focusing on healthcare product communications. This role will lead at least two major accounts in the Chicago office reporting to an EVP. This is a unique, career-enhancing role on large accounts, and an opportunity to partner with exceptional senior account leaders across the company.

 

This new leader’s overall responsibility is to be the day-to-day strategist for the clients, manage the overall relationship, deploy the teams in the most efficient and productive way to execute flawlessly, and be a supportive coach. The successful candidate will have deep, proven experience leading therapeutic area and/or product communications programs, including branded and unbranded disease awareness programs, data and regulatory milestones, and paid, earned, and owned initiatives. The ideal candidate will display passion, never-ending curiosity, a desire to always be better, and the ability to inspire and connect with teams across offices. They will be a hands-on leader that fits with our overall culture. We are a company of doers even at the most senior level.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture client relationships and grow business by providing leadership, direction and strategic guidance to colleagues, day-to-day teams and senior level clients
  • Lead, develop and coach teams of 10-20 people
  • Guide and inspire clients to continue expand the kinds of communications work they are doing digitally directly tied to meeting their business challenges
  • Develop quality standards and ensure client satisfaction
  • Draw on our total agency resources for every project, including health creative, digital and media specialists
  • Educate teams to ensure that they are delivering state-of-the-art counsel and content to their clients
  • Stay ahead of the shifts in the healthcare environment and provide guidance to teams and clients
  • Serve as a business development lead, driving new business pitch development and/or presentations
  • Participate as part of the practice leadership team on the operations of the group
  • Actively engage in the culture of the agency to lead by example
  • Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency
  • Mentor individuals so that they are able to achieve their professional goals

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 11+ years of experience in PR inclusive of agency experience working on large scale integrated communications campaigns

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of the pharma regulatory landscape
  • Experience, at an agency or in-house, managing a large pharmaceutical account (over $1 million in billings) and the keen organizational skills needed to do so. Experience on accounts that span multiple cities with integrated account teams preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Great track record of success leading teams and developing talent
  • Proficiency in MSOffice, advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and other presentation platforms
