As a crucial supporting role on client work, this individual will work closely with multiple cross-channel PR teams to assist in the development, execution and measurement of local and national campaigns on behalf of our clients.
Job description:
- Drafting public relations action plans, goals, media targets and pitch angles
- Persuasively pitching media and securing high-profile coverage for clients
- Staying abreast of current industry news and trends, and ideating creative media, thought leadership and social activations based on your observations; understanding client objectives and priorities to help shape activations
- Developing and managing timelines and weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met
- Managing editorial calendars, awards, and speaking opportunity programs on behalf of account teams, including vetting opportunities, crafting applications, and liaising with coordinators
- Anticipating and proactively offering solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs
- Developing written media and communications materials – from media pitches to digital content
- Researching media topics, trends, important issues, and reporters in support of new assignments and projects
- Delving into sometimes complex and technical topics to build a deep understanding of clients’ business, industry and points of view
- Assisting in client communications, including developing and coordinating routine account management materials such as timelines, activity reports, client documentation and project management support
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in an agency or similar setting
- Experience and interest in working with healthcare and corporate clients across industries
- Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively and work within tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Senior Manager, Integrated Media
Senior Manager – Media Monitoring and Reporting
POSTION PROFILE
Our Toronto office is looking for a Senior Manager – Media Monitoring and Reporting, who is a seasoned public and media relations consultant responsible for providing strategic leadership and counsel over media monitoring and reporting across the agency. The ideal candidate will have experience in reporting and monitoring media across multiple channels in fast-moving situations, familiarity with media reporting analytics, high attention to detail and program execution as well as comfort talking to and counseling clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the real-time monitoring of traditional and digital media, including social media, news websites, and broadcast media, for multiple clients.
- Provide counsel/strategic direction related to media monitoring and reporting programs and related work
- Manage and mentor a rotating team of monitoring and reporting staff, ensuring high-quality performance and effective communication.
- Develop and deliver training programs and resources to enhance team capabilities in media monitoring and analysis.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and actionable reports to client teams to inform decision-making, including during crises and major events.
- Collaborate with client account teams to ensure alignment in crisis response strategies and deliverables.
- Participate in crisis simulations and drills to ensure client readiness and effectiveness.
- Work directly with clients to resolve problems
- Support broad analytics and performance measurement tasks across the firm, working with the data and measurement teams
- Act as a liaison between the monitoring team, client account teams, and senior leadership, providing regular updates on media coverage and public sentiment.
- Support the development of KPIs to maximize media relations impact
- Develop program staffing plans and budgets and work directly with clients and finance team to address related deliverables and questions
- Highlight results, measuring success and promoting wins and key learnings to client
CORE REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrate end-to-end expertise in media monitoring and reporting, including:
- Working knowledge of and comfort with media monitoring tools and technologies
- Measuring and optimizing media performance in real time
- Understanding of reporting across paid, owned and earned
- Ability to plan, organize, monitor and control projects and programs, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and creative resources
- Ability to counsel clients on media results and present reporting in a convincing manner
- Strong team leadership abilities
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Public relations or communications experience of approximately 6-7 years
- University degree in Public Relations, Communications, Social Science or related field
- Ability to work effectively with integrated agency teams and diverse range of internal stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (French an asset)
- Strong negotiation, presentation, collaboration and problem-solving skills

Principales qualifications :
