We’re seeking an expert creative with abundant energy and enthusiasm who wants to immerse themself in a wealth of creative opportunities. The Lead Digital Designer should have a passion for digital innovation, with deep experience designing digital brand campaigns, enterprise websites, and mobile applications. You will spearhead work for multiple client brands and deliver visually stunning designs that excite and engage users.

The ideal candidate is a highly conceptual problem solver and an articulate presenter of ideas. As part of a cross-functional team, you will partner closely with content strategy, user experience, development, and project management throughout a project’s entirety, ensuring smooth delivery of world-class creative.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of total experience, including 2+ years in an agency setting
  • A beautiful portfolio that illustrates creative prowess, strategic thinking, and a mastery of visual design  
  • Deep experience in designing for digital across a range of media and touchpoints, including but not limited to enterprise websites, campaign microsites, mobile applications, web applications, and social campaigns. You can apply a strong understanding of a brand’s visual language, UI standards, and accessibility requirements to all that you create
  • Extensive experience creating visually engaging brand design systems that live across multiple digital channels. You can create new brands from scratch or elevate existing brand systems.
  • Experience developing high concept visuals for new business pitches
  • Proven expertise in creating extensive atomic digital design systems for web and mobile
  • Mastery of Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Apple Keynote
  • Knowledgeable about emerging media, trends, and philosophies in design, technology, AI, and XR. Work that you have done in AI and XR is a huge plus!
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, well-organized, and resilient to changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
  • Comfort with managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bonus skills: Animation, illustration, photoshoot art direction, experience designing for AI and XR

 

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute visually stunning creative concepts and user-centric digital experiences that exceed strategic objectives, exhibiting strong design expertise and decision-making
  • Develop high-end concepts and visuals for pitch presentations that help win new business
  • Have a strong creative vision with the ability to clearly articulate and justify conceptual choices
  • Develop strong digital designs and prototypes for a wide range of project types, including omnichannel digital campaigns, enterprise websites, and mobile applications, applying a strong understanding of design standards, interaction patterns, and accessibility requirements
  • Collaborate with your colleagues in user experience, content strategy, analytics, and development to ensure your designs are meeting data and functional requirements
  • Present your work comfortably and confidently in internal and client presentations
  • Be proactive and deliver assignments on-time, while proactively communicating with team members and project managers
  • Join internal and client meetings, brainstorms, and planning sessions for multiple projects
  • Art direct photoshoots for campaigns and brand assets, ensuring visual content aligns with the client’s visual identity and messaging
  • Foster collaboration and idea exchange by offering actionable feedback and developing processes to promote new ways of design thinking

Who You Are:

Senior Content Strategist

Senior Content Strategist, Consumer and Tech — West Coast

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated writer, editor, and content strategist to work with a team of account leads, PR specialists, integrated media specialists, social media managers, and creatives on behalf of our major Consumer and Tech clients.

This person will work with internal team members and clients to determine client objectives and develop and activate a comprehensive, multi-channel content strategy to meet those goals. An ideal candidate will have a passion for telling strategic and creative stories on deadline, be familiar with digital storytelling across earned, owned, and paid media — subject matter expertise in Consumer and Tech is preferred.

 The Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • 5-7 years of editorial experience at an agency or on an in-house communications team, or on staff at a media or online publishing company
  • Ability to develop content strategies, including setting goals, determining audiences, performing research and competitor audits, choosing channels, and developing editorial calendars
  • A proven track record of working under daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
  • A keen sense of news value and editorial judgment, especially in the Consumer and Tech spaces
  • A clear ability to work autonomously and be a proactive contributor, with solid decision-making skills and the ability to identify concerns and issues
  • Excellent editing, writing, and grammatical skills
  • Ability to develop creative story ideas and an eagerness to execute them
  • Be able to write sharp, engaging copy on a variety of Consumer and Tech topics, in a variety of voices for different audiences and in a variety of content types
  • Knowledge of multimedia storytelling
  • Can communicate effectively with clients and internal team members
  • Can demonstrate a thorough understanding of web publishing from site structure to overseeing asset management; from editing copy to producing content on publishing platforms (WordPress, Expression Engine, etc.).

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze Consumer and Tech client objectives and audiences to determine content channels, and types
  • Create editorial workflows, develop content calendars, and report on content results
  • Generate and help produce story and content packages (LinkedIn strategies and posts, blog posts, thought leadership op-eds, social posts/calendars, email/website copy, podcast/video scripts and whitepapers)
  • Edit and help oversee editorial calendars — both for websites and social channels
  • Edit stories from freelancers and others for publication on the web
  • Develop and write short-form copy for social posts across multiple channels
  • Produce content in CMS such as WordPress
  • Manage analytics and reporting on web content
  • Contribute story ideas — from pitch to execution — for multiple digital platforms
  • Coordinate with other departments and teammates, such as art, media buying, social media and more
  • Act as the sole representative for the Content Strategy team on the West Coast, showing a clear proactive ability to lead and be a presence in internal and client situations

Creative Director

Weber Shandwick is looking for a dynamic Creative Director with a mind for helping big brands and corporations navigate the modern world of media (paid, earned, and owned). This candidate is a highly conceptual strategic thinker, guiding award-winning campaigns across both corporate and consumer sectors. You will lead creative development while driving engagement within the earned, digital, and social media landscapes. This role requires a visionary leader who can seamlessly balance the nuances of corporate communication with the energetic creativity of consumer-focused projects. The Creative Director must have excellent presentation and client-facing skills along with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
