About the opportunity:
What will you do?
- Contribute to client tactical plans and cross-community implementation activities
- Successfully manage client expectations by ensuring adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards
- Develop initial client communications, key messaging and related materials
- Build client relationships, confidence and trust (at executional level)
You will be a good fit if you…
- Possess 2 years’ work experience in a PR agency, preferably worked on Healthcare brands
- Have industry knowledge – interest and inclination to work on social impact category
- Possess project management capability and business acumen
- Are good at networking, negotiation, coordination and possess organization abilities
- Are an analytical thinker and have the ability to formulate insights

The Public Affairs Practice at Weber Shandwick Brussels creates world-class work and word’s got out… Our reputation for delivering engaging campaigns that strike up conversations between policy makers and companies means we’re working with an enviable client list across a diverse range of sectors including; digital, healthcare, energy, transport, sustainability, social, trade, financial services and agriculture.
We are looking to appoint an experienced PR professional to join our Public Affairs Healthcare practice at Account Manager level. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful team and take the next step up in your career at an award-winning global agency.
The Role and Responsibilities
- Leads/manages multiple integrated work streams and partners with client leads to deliver on time/on budget work;
- Drives development of tactical plans, translating strategies into tactics, ensuring high quality deliverables align with strategies
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of how to design and implement public affairs campaigns on behalf of government, corporate and trade association clients, with an emphasis on highly-regulated industries
- Applies working knowledge of communications to manage policy communications strategies on behalf of clients
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of program recommendations
- Supports new business pitch content creation and organic business growth efforts (proactive/reactive)
- Contributes to marketing and business development efforts;
- Mentors junior staff;
What We’re Looking For
- 4-6 years relevant working experience. Previous experience in a public affairs role in-house, in consultancy or experience working in the EU institutions is preferable.
- A passion for external affairs and policy, supported by a curious mind and a strong interest in healthcare issues
- Applied experience and understanding of the EU institutions and political dynamics surrounding healthcare policies.
- Strong business acumen and appreciation of the commercial impact of policy decisions
- Capability as an advisor, including first class communication and writing skills
- An entrepreneurial approach to client servicing and business development
- Dynamic team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
