Role and Responsibilities

The Sr. Associate, Paid Planning & Buying would be responsible for executing day-to-day traditional & digital media planning/buying and client service activities associated with assigned accounts, with an emphasis on digital and traditional media management.

Must be a problem solver and professional in all communications both inside the agency and with clients. Sr. Associates must be expert at analyzing data, thinking creatively and coming up with innovative media strategies to deliver to clients.

Media Planning/Buying

  • Reviews client media briefs and sets planning process in motion
  • Creates Request for Proposal (RFP) and develops consideration list of appropriate stations and vendors weighing CPP history, market rankers, and reach against brief requirements
  • Reviews RFPs and filters/compiles most compelling proposals
  • Develop holistic media plan recommendations which deliver on client media strategies
  • Develops presentation materials for client review and adapts/finalizes based on internal and external feedback
  • Develops target segments to leverage
  • Ensures digital tracking, audience building, and billing is setup prior to campaign launch
  • Works with brand or agency creative team on ad development specifications and trafficking instructions to ensure creative is delivered to spec and supports media strategy
  • Works with Analytics and Ad Ops team for any digital tagging/reporting requirements
  • Assists with campaign reporting activities based on agreed upon client cadence
  • Compiles and analyze relevant metrics on an ongoing basis to optimize media plans, media schedules, analyze media alternatives to make sound recommendations
  • Manages campaign execution from start to finish
  • Supports the needs of direct manager and supporting media team members

External Relationship Management:

  • Assists account lead in maintaining and growing successful client relationships
  • Acts as a point of contact for designated clients and is responsive to all client requests and inquiries
  • Participates in client meetings and presentations
  • Works closely with stations and vendors to develop productive working relationships that drive results for clients
  • Serve as media expert, providing insight to media marketplace conditions and opportunities in TV/digital video/audio, digital and social media
  • Has the dedication to stay ahead of the latest innovations and media marketplace trends, expertly sharing experience in a collaborative and consultative manner

Qualifications 

  • Strong client and team leadership qualities
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and project management ability
  • Media planning and buying experience in one or more of the following mediums: Social Media, Digital Video, TV, Radio digital audio, print, OOH, local media. Experience with emerging TV platforms (connected TV/OTT, addressable, programmatic TV planning and execution) is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with client and Resolute team leads, Finance, and outside vendors
  • Willingness to explore and execute all forms of media
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years relevant experience needed

NYC Salary Range: $62,400 – $70,000

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients and provide ongoing counsel and strategic insights
  • Contribute to account teams on a day-to-day basis, leading key projects and work streams

HEALTH COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST

 

Weber Shandwick is seeking an experienced Health Communications Specialist to serve as a full-time embed for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) within the Division of Media Relations in Atlanta, GA.

 

The specialist will help plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of health communication and marketing activities designed to impact positive health outcomes. As a Health Communications Specialist, you will help:

 

  • Provide day-to-day support for the Center and the Office of Public Affairs, ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication.
  • Manage and respond to media requests, serving as a liaison between the CDC and media outlets.
  • Monitor media briefings, transcribe quotes, and summarize key points to facilitate accurate reporting and internal communication.
  • Review, edit, and provide strategic guidance on a variety of communication packages, ensuring alignment with CDC messaging.
  • Assist in the development of press releases and other materials that effectively convey CDC initiatives and public health information.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in health communications
  • Strong health writing, editing, and communication skills
