About the opportunity:

As a Client Experience Manager, you will be required to service multiple accounts and effectively manage core Branding tasks. It is expected that you gain a solid understanding of your clients’ business and respective industry, and be capable of translating that knowledge into creative tactical implementation. CX Managers are efficient task managers who are skilled in program planning, execution, including market research, brand strategy, naming/tagline/visual Identity development, internal communication planning and execution. They also begin to take a supervisory role when working with junior team members.
The successful candidate will:
- Contribute to development of tactical plans and cross-Community implementations of clients’ branding program.
- Successfully meet or exceed client expectations by ensuring adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards
- Develop basic client communications materials, research, brand strategy and corporate philosophy and related materials.
- Help build client relationships through the program.
What You Will Be Doing:
For the Client
- Serve as key team member
- Manage multiple projects for various clients, from concept to completion, on time
- Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure the success of client programs
- Provide ideas and suggestions on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans
- Co-work with IMC team to implement strategy plan to creative outputs(designs/events/movies).
- Conduct and manage the flow of research necessary to analyze client issues
- Participate in client meetings
- Develop client presentations
Writing
- Develop proposals
- Naming /Tagline/Purpose development
- Proofread and edit documents
- Instruct junior staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary
- Contribute to the development of strategic planning for clients
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in branding/marketing in a consulting firm, advertising agency or business enterprise
- High communication skills
- Logical thinking, problem solving and project management skills
- Document preparation and presentation skills
- Japanese and English skills at a Native or Business level

Senior Vice President, Consumer Practice Lead
About the opportunity:
Weber Shandwick is currently seeking an ambitious and capable business leader to head our Consumer Practice in Japan. As a Senior Vice President, the successful candidate will divide their time equally between managing the practice with a high degree of autonomy, and servicing key clients in the consumer sector. You will report to and work closely with the Managing Director of the Japan office.
The successful candidate will
- Be responsible for the holistic success of the Consumer Practice in terms of employee wellbeing and career development, client satisfaction and service quality, and healthy revenues and profitability.
- Provide leadership and development to your direct reports, and shape a vision for talent evolution across the wider Consumer Practice
- Secure and maintain close relationships with senior clients and provide ongoing counsel to help them navigate the ever-changing business environment
- Manage large, complex accounts and projects, with activities covering research, strategy, planning and implementation
- Review and approve contracts, estimates, proposals, etc., prepared by your team members
- Set and shepherd a vision for innovation of work and proactive business growth – from both new and existing clients in the Consumer Practice
- Effectively navigate Weber Shandwick’s global resources to grow, deepen and optimize client engagements
- Be a change agent and agitator for what’s new and next in consumer communications
Desired Skills and Experience:
- At least 10-15 years of public relations experience, including media relations and digital communications

You will be an efficient task manager who is skilled in program execution, including media pitching, writing/editing, research, budgeting and account administration procedures.
The successful candidate will:
- Contribute to development of tactical plans and cross-Community implementations
- Successfully meet or exceed client expectations by ensuring adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards
- Develop basic client communications materials, key message documents, briefing materials, blog posts and pitches
- Lead client communications with supervision from manager and reliably represent agency to both internal and external stakeholders
- Persuasively pitching media and securing high-profile coverage for clients
- Staying abreast of current industry news and trends, and sharing that information with account team members
- Anticipating and proactively offering solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs
- Understanding client objectives and priorities to help shape story angles
- Researching and writing briefing materials for client executives
- Assist in account budgeting recommendations and ongoing tracking

Vice President, Healthcare PR
About the opportunity:
Weber Shandwick is seeking a Client Experience (CX) Vice President for the Healthcare practice in our Tokyo office. This role requires daily client contact, project management and provides a high degree of autonomy to implement on strategies within a very short time frame.
Reporting to Head of Healthcare team, you have the opportunity to lead integrated programs of earned/paid/social media, service clients and drive new business in the region.
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and execute corporate/brand communication strategies and tactics; including integrated communication solutions, both domestically and abroad
- Capable to work as a strategic consultant, to counsel clients on communication strategies and tactics
- Creation of corporate/brand narrative and messaging
- Develop executive positioning programs and create talking points for executive interviews and speaking opportunities
- Arrange interviews and media meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople and coordination of these meetings
- Ability to develop integrated programs leveraging earned, paid and social media
- Create content for corporate/brand website and SNS and their consultation
- Support spokesperson training

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in planning to execution of corporate communications and product PR strategies and tactics for pharmaceutical/med-tech companies

- Prior experience working in a healthcare sector in PR/AD agency, medical agency, or fast-paced environment is preferable is a plus
