Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and flawless execution of comprehensive earned and integrated media campaigns for large-scale consumer clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media across national, regional, and digital outlets — spanning business, lifestyle, food & beverage, mainstream news, sports, entertainment, and commerce verticals
- Craft compelling, culturally relevant narratives that tap into sports and pop culture trends — including racing, basketball, soccer, football, golf — and major events like the Super Bowl, World Cup, and more
- Oversee earned media campaigns across various formats — from product launches and thought leadership to celebrity partnerships and high-profile brand initiatives
- Monitor media trends and provide timely insights to clients and teams, identifying earned opportunities grounded in what’s timely, buzzy, and impactful
- Counsel senior clients, executives and spokespeople on media strategy, positioning, and media training
- Confidently present strategic plans and campaign results in client meetings, inter-agency collaborations, and new business pitches
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure earned strategies are aligned with broader marketing and brand goals
- Manage resources, timelines, and deliverables with precision, ensuring top-tier execution and a client-first mindset

What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of public relations or communications experience, with increasing responsibility leading earned media for major consumer brands
- Strong track record of top-tier media placements and well-established relationships across lifestyle, business, entertainment, sports, and pop culture media
- Subject matter expertise in CPG, food & beverage, men’s lifestyle, and entertainment; bonus points for experience in the beer industry, global media, and social impact
- Demonstrated success managing earned campaigns featuring Tier A talent, including celebrities, musicians and athletes
- Skilled in developing and executing thought leadership, product launches, brand campaigns, celebrity partnerships, and sports sponsorships and events
- Experienced in media training and counseling senior clients and executives
- Able to integrate earned strategy seamlessly with digital, social, and paid media efforts

We are seeking a strong Senior Manager to join our Earned Media team within our Consumer Practice. What You Will Be Doing
- Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business and target audience, and work with strategists and creative team members to deliver innovative and integrated programs that earn attention
- Generate story ideas and topic angles, draft media materials, and pitch media to land earned coverage
- Monitor media outlets, understand industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client, and analyze and distill meaningful insights from media coverage

- Working knowledge of and comfort executing new media forms (e.g. podcasts, Substack, etc.)
- Drafting media materials, including pitches and press releases
- Optimizing programs in real-time to maximize success based on preliminary results
- Amplification of strategies, including paid, owned and earned
- Ability to plan, organize, monitor and control projects and programs, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and creative resources
- Ability to counsel clients on media relations activities and present plans in a convincing manner
- Ability to work effectively with integrated agency teams and diverse range of internal stakeholders

We Are Seeking:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Vice President to join our growing earned media Brand group. This role doesn’t come around often and is perfect for someone who can lead a large team, manage multiple brands and clients, and flex across offices in the US and worldwide.
The new leader will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in media relations, nurturing client relationships, acting as the day-to-day senior media counsel for client programs and brand teams, working in lockstep with integrated agency partners and overseeing a high-performing media team with exposure to senior leaders in the agency. We are looking for a storyteller who is inspired by culture, with never-ending curiosity, a desire to always be better, and the ability to motivate and connect with people across different disciplines.

We are looking for someone who can:

The right person for this role has:
- 12+ years of experience in media relations inclusive of agency experience working on integrated communications campaigns
- Deep knowledge of the consumer products space, with experience in – and passion for – telling stories on behalf of lifestyle brands
- Strong selling and negotiating skills, with the ability to bring new/proactive ideas to new and existing clients
- Proven track record of proactively identifying and delivering strategic storytelling opportunities that unlock account growth beyond the current or ‘expected’ remit
- Strong familiarity and expertise related to social, digital and influencer channels that can further fuel earned-driven communications
- Exceptional client service track record with ability to counsel and interact effectively with senior management at client organizations
- Experience managing a large earned media team and the keen organizational skills needed to juggle multiple client needs at once
- Ability to efficiently manage cross-office teams that span multiple cities and countries with integrated account teams preferred
- Ability to be both strategic and hands-on, to flex with clients’ needs
