We Are Seeking:
We are seeking a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mind to help compile and analyze data, and extract deep insights using the approaches, systems and tools we are designing in-house and have licensed from third parties. You will be able to leverage data to uncover insights and tell compelling stories.
The Senior Analyst will join the New York Analytics & Intelligence team to focus on delivering insightful and impactful analytics core to the marketing and communications objectives of our clients.
The position will directly report to and work with the New York office but may support teams across all North American practice areas. This position will be dedicated to one of Weber Shandwick’s largest technology clients.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead day-to-day project delivery, coordinating with clients and the rest of your Weber Shandwick teammates to establish partnerships and prove value/ROI, infusing all aspects of the work with data-driven insights and measurement.
- Work with Impact teammates to create visually compelling reporting and insights that allow clients to easily evaluate communications, media and/or site performance relative to business objectives.
- Evangelize the use of data to inform decision-making at all levels internally and externally.
- Educate non-technical account team members on key requests and analysis process.
- Participate in business development activities, including scope design, strategic analysis, slide preparation and work planning.
Basic Qualifications
- 2-4 years relevant full-time experience; preferably in Consumer Insights, Marketing Analytics, or Performance Marketing fields.
- Experience working on analytics that demonstrate the value of marketing and communications programs across paid, earned, social, and owned media components.
- Experience working on analytics for communications programs with earned, owned, and paid media components, including social media, site analytics, and search.
- Ability to leverage scripting to automate analyses, data cleansing, and data integration tasks.
- Understanding of enterprise data management, integration, and governance principles.
- Experience with relational databases and statistical analysis/programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R or Python.
- Strong interest and capacity to translate data and research into strategic insights and recommendations.
- Passion for working with data and deriving insights to answer client business questions.
- Experience with syndicated research tools such as MRI Simmons, YouGov or GWI a plus.
- Expertise with site analytics and social platforms including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, and X.
- Experience with social listening tools such as Quid, Talkwalker, or Brandwatch a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in an integrated team setting.
- Strong communication (written and presentation) skills.
- Commitment to learning and the drive to take initiative.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with working in and contributing to a fast-paced, team environment.

NYC Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Senior Vice President, Analytics
You are an experienced professional who can bridge the worlds of quantitative analysis and senior account leadership with an integrated approach to media research, insights, analytics and data for a existing and new portfolio of clients. This position will lead Analytics and Intelligence on one of our largest client accounts, while also helping to lead our regional team and portfolio. Responsibilities
- Maintain deep knowledge and points-of-view on cutting-edge technologies, tools, platforms, and partners relevant to integrated media analytics—including overseeing and/or participating in the rollout of new technologies and partnerships to relevant teams.
- Provide hands-on consultancy, collaboration and support to clients and project teams in designing, staffing, and delivering analytics work.
- Design and manage complex reporting and monitoring workflows for one of our largest technology accounts.
- Develop social and cultural insights, leveraging proprietary technologies and tools, to support our Strategy and Media teams on one of our largest technology accounts.
- Work closely with firm, regional, practice and other discipline leaders in identifying opportunities and reducing barriers to advancing the use and sophistication of analytics across all offices.
- Contribute to business development and growth (both new client and organic growth) through the use of analytics in proposal development, as well as by designing and selling specific analytics solutions to clients.
- Lead thought-leadership efforts around the use of analytics in communications and marketing, both inside and outside of Weber Shandwick.
- Contribute to the development of new analytics tools and techniques/methodology.
- Engage as an active participant in product development work with data science, data engineering and product management organization.
- Be the voice-of-the-customer as company seeks to break new analytic ground.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 12-15 years of related professional experience within an agency, consulting or corporate setting
- Talent development experience and skill in building, leading, coaching, and motivating analyst teams
- Ability to derive relevant insights from diverse sources of data, both qualitative and quantitative, including published sources, syndicated data, and proprietary data, and then translating those insights into specific media strategies and recommendations
- Ability to design research and analyses to test specific hypothesis around optimal communications creative and channel mix
- Working knowledge of advanced statistics and data modeling techniques, including regression and classification techniques, as well as use of techniques and tools appropriate for analysis of both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience using media/marketing intelligence, social listening or other research tools such as: Brandwatch, GlobalWebIndex, NewsWhip, Meltwater, Cision, Quid, Affinio, Simmons/MRI and Comscore.
- Experience using desktop applications and software used for data/statistical analysis, manipulation and visualization including Tableau, SAS, SQL, MS Office Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience in managing data and data mining.
- Ability to develop frameworks for steering complex insight/analytics projects.
