Title: Director, Project Management (Crisis & Issues)

Description: Project Management  

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Director, Project Management for the Crisis & Issues team who will work across a portfolio of client engagements, as well as support crisis projects that arise. The person will work closely with team members in account, public relations and affairs, strategy, digital and creative and report to a VP or SVP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a client engagement and drive integration. Partner closely with public affairs, strategy, insights, new business, finance, and resourcing leads to institute best practices
  • Be a proactive, agile and solution-oriented
  • Define and support cross-functional teams on roles and responsibilities, processes, and templates
  • Manage projects with internal and external partners focusing on balancing quality, cost and timing while exceeding client expectations
  • Manage project deliverables across multiple work streams and independently prioritize as appropriate
  • Help coordinate various specialty functions including public affairs, strategy, insights, paid media, and analytics
  • Set expectations at the beginning of a project. As any issues arise, proactively find solutions without compromising quality, team morale, or budget.
  • Partner with internal finance team on overall financial management of the client (SOW development; monitoring and tracking deliverables and budgets; forecasting; change management and reporting)
  • Negotiate conflict, manage differences of opinion, and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrate strong, professional work ethic and financial acumen

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in a consulting agency, media relations communications, law firm or political campaign setting
  • Expert skills in scoping, pricing, and timeline development for complex, agile programs
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with established deadlines and pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to build cooperative, effective relationships, facilitate communication and understanding among professionals across multiple levels. The ability to build consensus, anticipate problems and difficult situations, and develop workable strategies and solutions.

  • Proficient in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Products and Smartsheets.

NYC Salary range: $110,000 – $135,000

Vice President, Integrated Project Management

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Project Management or Operations Experience.
  • Experience with different types of projects and deliverables, including: strategic presentations, creative concepting and development, video, digital, influence, event-based programs and vendor integrations.
  • Ability to effectively improve operations and processes at an agency and brand level.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong experience with scoping, development of budgets and schedules for complex programs with multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as strategic operations lead across major consumer, tech, and healthcare accounts, demonstrating autonomy and strong decision-making skills.

  • Lead PM/Business Operations lead for a large account or portfolio
