Weber Shandwick is seeking a Director, Project Management for the Crisis & Issues team who will work across a portfolio of client engagements, as well as support crisis projects that arise. The person will work closely with team members in account, public relations and affairs, strategy, digital and creative and report to a VP or SVP.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of a client engagement and drive integration. Partner closely with public affairs, strategy, insights, new business, finance, and resourcing leads to institute best practices
- Be a proactive, agile and solution-oriented
- Define and support cross-functional teams on roles and responsibilities, processes, and templates
- Manage projects with internal and external partners focusing on balancing quality, cost and timing while exceeding client expectations
- Manage project deliverables across multiple work streams and independently prioritize as appropriate
- Help coordinate various specialty functions including public affairs, strategy, insights, paid media, and analytics
- Set expectations at the beginning of a project. As any issues arise, proactively find solutions without compromising quality, team morale, or budget.
- Partner with internal finance team on overall financial management of the client (SOW development; monitoring and tracking deliverables and budgets; forecasting; change management and reporting)
- Negotiate conflict, manage differences of opinion, and communicate effectively
- Demonstrate strong, professional work ethic and financial acumen
Requirements:
- 8+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in a consulting agency, media relations communications, law firm or political campaign setting
- Expert skills in scoping, pricing, and timeline development for complex, agile programs
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with established deadlines and pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to build cooperative, effective relationships, facilitate communication and understanding among professionals across multiple levels. The ability to build consensus, anticipate problems and difficult situations, and develop workable strategies and solutions.

NYC Salary range: $110,000 – $135,000

Senior Associate, Project Manager
Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Sr Associate, Integrated Project Manager for the New York Project Management team who will work closely with team members in account, creative, public relations, and strategy, as well as report to a Director or VP across a portfolio of brands and/or projects.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in an agency setting
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong financial management skills. Exposure to scoping, burn report tracking, and understanding of relationship when scheduling projects.
- Fluency and/or familiarity with different types of programs and deliverables, such as creative ideation, social and digital
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and in written format with internal team members across multiple disciplines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Project/Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint
NYC Salary range: $64,400 – $72,000

Senior Project Manager
Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager, Integrated Project Management for the New York Project Management team who will work closely with team members in account, creative, public relations, and strategy, as well as report to a VP, across a portfolio of brands and/or projects.

- Manage project deliverables across multiple medium- large scale campaigns and help coordinate various functions including creative, strategy, insights, paid media, and analytics
- Professionally manage large scale engagements with account team partners focusing on balancing quality, cost and schedule, while exceeding client expectations
- Set expectations at the beginning of a project: as any issues arise, find solutions without compromising quality, team morale, or budget
- Be the conductor of a project/team and a proactive, solution-oriented, and strategic advisor
- Have a solid understanding of the creative development, production and paid media delivery processes and focus on stewarding the work from concept through delivery.
- Manage account budgets, scopes, and time while providing frequent updates to key stakeholders
- Partner with account leadership and finance to facilitate accurate and realistic forecasts; actively manage any forecast mitigation as needed

- SME with different types of programs and deliverables, such as strategic planning, creative ideation, video, social and editorial content, digital, and partner management
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal team members across multiple disciplines and levels, instilling confidence, and trust in your abilities
- Be comfortable digging into account finances: developing staffing models, writing SOWs, tracking burn rates, etc.
- Experience working closely with the implementation of an integrated media mix of paid, owned and earned programs
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members across multiple levels, building trust in your abilities to get the job done effectively
- Have excellent organization and time management skills
- Understanding of government clients preferred
