Weber Shandwick Appoints Rose Berg to Lead Local Healthcare Practice in Seattle 

SEATTLE, Dec. 15, 2011 – Weber Shandwick’s Seattle office today announced that Rose Berg has joined the firm as senior vice president to lead its new local Healthcare practice, effective immediately.

Berg brings more than 25 years of experience in advocacy and public education, brand marketing and coalition building to the agency. She has worked with many Northwest institutions, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Pacific Health Summit, Puget Sound Chapter of the Komen for the Cure and the University of Washington School of Social Work. Berg joins a global team of seasoned healthcare strategists and reports to Tim Fry, general manager of Weber Shandwick’s Seattle office.

 

Before joining Weber Shandwick, Berg managed her own boutique strategic communications firm which led the launch of Partners for Our Children, a public/private partnership with the University of Washington, Department of Social and Health Services and the community to improve child welfare. Other clients included Global Team for Local Initiatives and The Mockingbird Society, a foster care advocacy organization that promoted Healthcare to 21.

The firm has also hired account supervisor Nate Cole-Daum whose strategic expertise spans media, government and community relations and social media for healthcare clients across all sectors. Cole-Daum has experience working in support of Seattle Children’s, the Community Health Network of Washington, the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease, We Work for Health and the State of Victoria, Australia’s life sciences economic development initiative.
