Civility in America 2012
Weber Shandwick and Powell Tate partnered with KRC Research to conduct the third annual poll on Civility in America: A Nationwide Survey.
The study found that America’s “national civility disorder” has not improved in recent years. In fact, 71 percent believe civility has declined and 55 percent expect the decline to continue. This expectation is driven in large part by incivility in politics, with the majority of Americans saying that politics is increasingly uncivil, and that the tone of public discourse is harming America’s future.
