Role Overview

Responsibilities
This role encompasses a range of responsibilities within Commercial Strategy, with significant opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing hands-on operational and strategic support to the EVP of Commercial Strategy and the broader team.
  • Analyzing data to identify gaps, assess risks, and uncover strategic opportunities.
  • Supporting pricing strategies and negotiation recommendations for new and existing client opportunities, both locally and globally.
  • Collaborating with multiple business units within Weber Shandwick to foster alignment and drive success.
  • Gaining deep knowledge of the business and leveraging that understanding to enhance the value delivered to clients.
  • Supports the review and preparation of RFIs and RFPs at local and global levels as needed.

NYC Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000

We’re seeking a Freelance Senior Associate, Community Management, to join our team in Detroit. The Senior Associate operates efficiently within a group, executes assigned tasks independently, and can handle multiple projects/clients at a time. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Community Management: monitoring of owned social channels using social media tools to assign, and appropriately evaluate engagements from community
  • Remain current on cultural trends and technology while looking for opportunities to incorporate the Brand into conversations
  • Identify and escalate trending social topics or content to account and strategy teams
  • Research automotive market and identify areas of opportunity for automotive parts and services brands within social platforms and digital landscape • Update status documents and project trackers on a regular basis
  • Communicate to client, account teams and creative teams on project developments, timelines and results
  • Liaison between a cross-functional project team, which includes Creative, Paid Media, and Analytics   Conduct social media research
  • Participate in agency brainstorms
  • Post content across social media platforms

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; 2-3 years related professional experience
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Storytelling aptitude
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience and knowledge in Digital Marketing/Social Media Management is required
  • Experience working with project managers and creatives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be a demonstrated self-starter and work well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
  • Willingness to learn the automotive industry; and the specifics of this part of the business: parts, aftermarket, accessories, service, more

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Freelance Producer, you will be our Creator-in-Chief: a creative, rapidly responding, self-starting and on-trend content generator that will tell our clients story on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. The Freelance Producer will support brand and marketing teams in conceptualizing and creating social-first content that drives engagement, breaks through the algorithms and stops scrolling dead in its tracks.

This position requires an innate understanding of the way consumers use and consume content on social platforms today, social content publishing best practices and the technical skills to capture, edit and deliver content to target audiences. Whether it’s an in-feed Instagram carousel, a stories-based live experience or hacking your way to our target demographic’s FYP, the Producer will understand how to envision and execute engaging social content.

This position will collaborate closely with creative, strategy and production teams but should also be comfortable operating independently and with initiative. The ideal candidate will bring a creative eye and be able to make seemingly mundane moments, experiences or stories into compelling content. A strong understanding of online trends, the current cultural pulse and where the zeitgeist is heading next is essential. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support brand, marketing, creative, production and strategy teams in developing, capturing, creating and executing branded social content.
  • Be comfortable and excel at creating video, photo and audio content with mobile devices and professional video and photography equipment alike.
  • Produce content that adheres to brand guidelines and company positioning.
  • Edit video and photography with Adobe software products
  • Understand social content publishing best practices
  • Be the team’s essential source for what is trending on social platforms and pro-actively present ideas and concepts on how our clients can capitalize on it.
  • Collaborate with creative, brand, strategy and production teams to grow social audience and advance overall social media brand goals.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a social media producer, marketing producer, or content producer
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • This position may require atypical hours, including night or weekend event coverage.

 

Detroit Salary range: $75.00 – $75.00

Government Contract Manager

Job Summary

Our team in Washington, DC is seeking a Government Contract & Pricing Manager to be involved in all facets of government contracts. You will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Finance – South Region. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you will work from the Washington D.C. office at least three times a week.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to internal teams on relating to contract and task order regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all government requirements
  • Assist in the evaluation of RFPs and Task Orders and existing contrac modifications/amendments for business and financial requirements
  • Monitors primary Weber Shandwick project (contract) progress and partner/subcontractor performance to flag substantive or administrative problems and work w/ teams to outline corrective action with respect to modifications in program/project content, direction, funding, staff levels, etc.
  • Focal point for all communication with law, finance and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes
  • Manages contract change control process (internally) and helps prepare package for client submission and review
  • Lead contract renewal process for various contracting vehicles including GSA, BPA and IDIQ
  • With appropriate IPG legal coordination, analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure. Inter-Agency Partnerships, Subcontracts & Vendors*
  • Support contract and subcontract negotiations
  • Work with Project Managers in creating purchase orders, subcontractor and vendor selection, travel compliance and compliance w/ prime contract/task orders
  • Oversees competitive bid process for outside partners and/or prepares justification memoranda for funding and implementation of inter-agency agreements or subcontracts
  • Tracks implementation and evaluation of inter-agency agreements or subcontracts to ensure acceptable quality and conformance to agreed requirements
  • Maintain adequate back up documentation and files for competitive and sole source arrangements Financial and Business
  • Maintain adequate systems for compliance with government cost accounting standards
  • Prepare and submit annual incurred cost proposal and provisional rates using SAP and Excel
  • Submit filings with appropriate government agencies including small business, and GSA Industrial Funding Fee (IFF)
  • Monitor the actual indirect rates during the year

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree and 6+ years’ experience with government contracts & pricing
  • Extensive working knowledge in GAAP, FAR, FTR and government cost accounting standards

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Ability to work with all levels of people across functional organizations within the company and the Government
  • Knowledge of advanced functions in Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to work independently
  • Prior working experience with CMS, CDC, and GSA; and Experience performing full accounting cycle is a plus
