Freelance Producer

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Freelance Producer, you will be our Creator-in-Chief: a creative, rapidly responding, self-starting and on-trend content generator that will tell our clients story on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. The Freelance Producer will support brand and marketing teams in conceptualizing and creating social-first content that drives engagement, breaks through the algorithms and stops scrolling dead in its tracks.

This position requires an innate understanding of the way consumers use and consume content on social platforms today, social content publishing best practices and the technical skills to capture, edit and deliver content to target audiences. Whether it’s an in-feed Instagram carousel, a stories-based live experience or hacking your way to our target demographic’s FYP, the Producer will understand how to envision and execute engaging social content.

This position will collaborate closely with creative, strategy and production teams but should also be comfortable operating independently and with initiative. The ideal candidate will bring a creative eye and be able to make seemingly mundane moments, experiences or stories into compelling content. A strong understanding of online trends, the current cultural pulse and where the zeitgeist is heading next is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support brand, marketing, creative, production and strategy teams in developing, capturing, creating and executing branded social content.
  • Be comfortable and excel at creating video, photo and audio content with mobile devices and professional video and photography equipment alike.
  • Produce content that adheres to brand guidelines and company positioning.
  • Edit video and photography with Adobe software products
  • Understand social content publishing best practices
  • Be the team’s essential source for what is trending on social platforms and pro-actively present ideas and concepts on how our clients can capitalize on it.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a social media producer, marketing producer, or content producer
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • This position may require atypical hours, including night or weekend event coverage.
