A snapshot of the role:
Based in London and working as part of our in-house, integrated design team, you are a passionate, Midweight Designer who comes from an integrated agency background. You are a team player who prides themselves on elevating briefs, learning new skills and adapting to any creative brief that might come your way.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Produce best in-class design across a number of touch points, including OOH, press, social, global tool kits, pitch concepts, presentations and brand guidelines.
- Supporting and partnering with our creative team to craft work from the conceptual phase through to delivery.
- Have the ability to work on a number of projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and creative standards are always maintained.
- Be an effective communicator, who can present their design work internally.
- You are passionate about design as a discipline and will proactively champion innovation and craft.

Ideal experience required:
- Previous experience working in a creative environment as a Midweight Designer.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential as well as a working knowledge of PowerPoint. Experience using AI tools such as Firefly, Midjourney etc also essential.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a number of brilliantly designed and crafted pieces of work you have produced for digital, print and social.
- Great communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues
- Taking feedback and elevating briefs
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for the latest design trend

Lead UI Designer
Job Summary
Are you passionate about designing innovative and user-first digital experiences that push the boundaries of digital design, while surprising and delighting users?
Join an experience design team that produces award-winning work for national and global brands. Flipside Group is seeking a Lead Digital Designer with deep experience in designing digital brand campaigns, enterprise websites, and mobile applications. You will spearhead work for multiple client brands and deliver visually stunning designs that excite and engage users.
The ideal candidate is a highly conceptual problem solver and an articulate presenter of ideas. As part of a cross-functional team, you will partner closely with content strategy, user experience, development, and project management throughout a project’s entirety, ensuring smooth delivery of world-class creative.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of total experience, including 2+ years in an agency setting
- Deep experience in designing for digital across a range of media and touchpoints, including but not limited to enterprise websites, campaign microsites, mobile applications, web applications, and social campaigns. You can apply a strong understanding of UI design standards, accessibility requirements, and a brand’s visual language to all that you create
- Extensive experience creating visually engaging brand design systems that live across multiple digital channels from scratch
- Experience in applying existing brand standards to new platforms, as well as expanding design systems to meet new campaign needs and brand touchpoints
- Proven expertise in creating extensive atomic digital design systems for web and mobile
- Mastery of Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), as well as the ability to use the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledgeable about emerging media, trends, and philosophies in design, technology, AI, and AR/VR
- Self-motivated, hardworking, well-organized, resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
- Comfort with managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Bonus skills: Animation, illustration, photoshoot art direction, experience designing for AR/VR
Responsibilities
- Create visually stunning, user-centric design solutions and creative concepts that meet or exceed strategic objectives, exhibiting strong design expertise and decision-making skills
- Have a strong creative vision with the ability to clearly articulate and justify conceptual choices
- Push the boundaries of creative deliverables, creating visually stunning, award-winning solutions for clients
- Develop strong digital designs and prototypes for a wide range of project types, including omnichannel digital campaigns, enterprise websites, and mobile applications, applying a strong understanding of design standards, interaction patterns, and accessibility requirements
- Collaborate with your colleagues in user experience, content strategy, analytics, and development to ensure your designs are meeting data and functional requirements
- Ensure all visual designs adhere to client brand guidelines
- Present your work comfortably and confidently in internal and client presentations
- Be proactive and deliver assignments on-time, while proactively communicating with team members and project managers
- Join internal and client meetings, brainstorms, and planning sessions for multiple projects
- Art direct photoshoots for campaigns and brand assets, ensuring visual content produced aligns with the client’s visual identity and messaging
- Foster collaboration and idea exchange by offering actionable feedback and developing processes to promote new ways of design thinking
