About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced content professional to join our growing China Go Global team in Hong Kong. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping English-language content, building strong relationships with top international media (UK and US in particular), and serving as a trusted liaison for clients.

 

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a native English speaker with a strong background in copywriting and content creation and strong media relations. You have a keen interest in evolving into a well-rounded marketing communication specialist and are eager to deepen your insights into media strategies and industry trends across the smartphone/smart hardware, mobile internet, and consumer technology.

 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Content Development: Craft compelling content across various platforms and styles, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  • Media Relations: Develop innovative story ideas and media strategies, identify key journalists and influencers, draft impactful pitches, and drive international media outreach.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • New Business Development: Contribute creative ideas for both new and organic growth opportunities, develop persuasive proposals, and participate in client presentations.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in PR, marketing, or media, with a focus on consumer technology communications.
  • Previous experience of working in either an agency or with a tier 1 media outlet
  • Fluency in English is essential. Chinese language skills would be advantageous
  • Experience and an understanding of smartphones, both in terms of content and media relations.
  • Expertise in diverse writing styles, with the ability to craft and refine content for various formats, including press releases, social posts, biographies, video scripts, ads, brochures, speeches, and presentations.
  • Strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to quickly adapt and learn.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proactive leader with a drive to take ownership and inspire others.
  • Open-minded and culturally aware, eager to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Able to operate various digital platforms, conduct performance analysis, and write reports

The NL team is made up of a smart, dedicated, and fun team members with expertise spanning B2B, Corporate, Public Affairs, Crisis/Issues, Social Impact/ESG and Technology.

The successful candidate will enjoy working on a portfolio of well-known global brands, executing integrated campaigns involving earned media, strategy, creative, analytics and digital. What will you be doing?

  • Provide high-level strategic counsel to clients, being able to proactively identify and assess problems, define logical and effective strategies, and implement solutions on their behalf
  • Be a highly trusted senior point of contact for clients, responsible for leading a team to deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the development of both over-arching strategy and creative campaign ideas
  • Act as a facilitator, bringing in specialist practitioners within the practice and throughout the wider Geneva office to support in the delivery of integrated communications campaigns

  • Lead in the development and presentation of new business pitches

About the Role

We’re currently seeking a conversation-starter, a reputation-guarder, an idea-launcher and a team-player to join our Hong Kong Office in the Corporate Practice.

Senior Associates are resourceful task managers who are counted on for tactical program execution by servicing multiple clients and handling core public relations tasks with a dynamic team. They learn the business of the agency, its clients and its internal processes and procedures.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support account lead to manage client relationships on a day-to-day basis and implement local and regional communication strategies and program activities in conjunction with team members
  • Monitor and track client, competitor, industry and cultural news and prepare coverage reports
  • Provide media relations support – conducting research, maintaining and building target media lists, drafting media materials, pitching to journalists, and managing media relationships and opportunities
  • Translate and develop well-written bilingual article summaries, and prepare media materials
  • Co-ordinate with external and internal parties to ensure the smooth execution of clients’ events
  • Perform general reporting and administrative duties

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism
  • 2-4 years of PR experience or relevant industry experience, preferably at a PR agency or in-house communications team.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Organized to handle various ongoing work streams
  • Self-motivated team player, and keen to take ownership of tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
