What will you be doing?
- Builds client relationships by providing counsel to multiple clients, driving execution of tactical plans to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Successfully manages client expectations, team resources, and deliverables around major campaigns and projects.
- Serves as an active participant in client meetings and presentations; crafts, presents, and executes integrated communications strategies for major campaigns.
- Conducts and manages the flow of research and materials development necessary to analyse client issues.
- Functions across disciplines with a knowledge of social media strategies and tactics.
- Monitors media outlets for coverage of client and competitor news, leveraging digital and social outlets, a diverse set of influencers, etc.
- Understands industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client.
- Composes media materials (press releases, pitch notes, client briefings, messaging documents, sample Q&A, proposals, bylined articles, supporting social content, etc.) and conducts media outreach.
- Proofs and edits client-related documents.
- Develops and builds relationships with media
- Brainstorms and brings to life compelling ideas for clients and media.
- Leads small teams to conduct pressing research on a wide range of issues, reviews and prepares executive summaries and/or analyses of information into strategic and actionable recommendations.

What you’ll be doing
- Focusing predominantly on Technology policies, with occasional support required in other fields such as Sustainability;
- Managing a client portfolio, being the client’s primary contact and ensuring quality and timeliness in the delivery of Public Affairs strategies and services against budget
- Working alongside the team lead to grow the existing client portfolio, including identifying potential new clients and leading in the development of new business proposals
- Managing accounts, leading on day-to-day client work, translating client needs into project plans, advising and supporting clients, ensuring that results are achieved and client’s overall objectives are met;
- Under the leadership of senior staff, planning and implementing thought leadership campaigns, outreach programmes and organisation of events;
- Contributing to marketing and business development efforts;
- Supporting in attracting and developing junior staff, including line management responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- 5-7 years of relevant working experience. Previous experience in other EU Public Affairs agencies or in EU institutions is a bonus.
- An excellent understanding of the EU institutions and political dynamics surrounding digital policy
- Strong business acumen and appreciation of the commercial impact of policy decisions
- An entrepreneurial approach to client servicing and business development – with proven track record of business growth
- A good network in Brussels within Technology policy
- Capability as an advisor, including first class communication and writing skills
- Ability to solve problems and exercise excellent judgment with the ability to think ‘outside of the box’
- Understanding of agency financials and experience budgeting projects.
- Dynamic team player and able to work in a high-performance environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to offer high-level advice on the spot

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Manager (Account Supervisor level) to join our Client Experience team within our Consumer Practice, focused on a major automotive client. This candidate will have account management and media relations experience. Ideally, this candidate has some auto experience as well.
We are open to candidates who can work a hybrid schedule from Detroit or one of our other office locations. This role will report to the Detroit office.

This person would lead some of our bigger digital pieces of work and would play an important leadership role with the management team within the health practice. You will need to excel at client management and have experience running teams and big pieces of digital health work, ideally in the pharmaceutical space.
What will you be doing?
- Driving growth of digital work by consulting with internal teams on a wide range of accounts to identify digital and social opportunities
- Developing and presenting social media and content strategies across client portfolios, demonstrating extensive knowledge of audience behaviour and platform requirements, acting as a senior point of contact for clients and supporting other members of the team with their social media strategies
