Junior Copywriter, Healthcare

Job Summary

Weber Shandwick is seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Copywriter, Healthcare to join our growing creative team. The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker and wordsmith with an artistic eye and obsession with grammar and punctuation. In this role, you’ll conceive and write copy for a variety of social platforms, presentations, integrated campaigns and more for healthcare brands shaping culture and conversation. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop creative concepts and copy for a variety of media, including (but not limited to): paid and organic social posts, ads, PR materials, presentations, scripts, gifs, memes, infographics and more
  • Write copy for a variety of social platforms, such as IG, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Reddit, etc.
  • Collaborate with art directors, designers, strategists, producers and other team members to bring ideas to life
  • Translate product information and technical language into engaging customer-friendly copy
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tonality to appeal to different audiences
  • Edit and proofread copy for presentations and posts
  • Present your own creative work internally to teammates
  • Assist creative leads in organizing, attending and directing external agency partners in still and video production
  • Ensure all creative adheres to brand guidelines
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of product features and benefits
  • Incorporate feedback from Creative Directors, teammates, clients and legal department with precision and a positive attitude

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a portfolio (may include spec work, college work and creative writing)
  • Passion for creative writing, social media and digital-first thinking
  • Fluent in the copy specifics of various social platforms including IG, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Reddit, etc
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to strengthen writing and optimize through GEO/SEO
  • Self-motivated, organized and deadline-driven
  • Great sense of humor that translates into meme, gif and social copy
  • In tune with social trends and emerging techniques for storytelling and brand expression
  • Passionate about health and wellness
  • Willingness to push creative boundaries
  • Able to prioritize and manage own time
  • Bonus skills: content creation, community management and/or blogging

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Aptitude for being well organized
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Salary Range: $50,000 USD – $55,000 USD

Associate, Client Experience

 

What You Will Be Doing:

Our team is seeking a Senior Manager with client experience and healthcare communications expertise to serve as a counselor to our clients for one of our largest and fastest growing accounts. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic integrated communications programs, supporting overall strategy, and advising healthcare clients. You will be a conceptual thinker with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

In addition, you should have an agency background in healthcare communications with experience working on pharmaceutical products and/or disease education programs, as well as knowledge of the media landscape and considerations in this space. The ideal candidate will have broad interest in the full remit of healthcare communications, including social/digital, earned media, data and regulatory milestones, and unbranded disease awareness programming. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a specific interest or experience in celebrity campaigns.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage account team implementation of agreed-upon programs, ensuring quality standards are met and desired results are delivered on-budget
  • Lead project management, ensuring all activities are moving forward and are within deadlines
  • Coordinate among interdisciplinary team of research, creative, digital and media strategists
  • Develop a range of external and media materials including press releases, key message documents, pitches, social media content, etc.
  • Manage client status reports, including materials trackers, media trackers, and website analytics trackers.
  • Manage event and activation logistics in a variety of settings
  • Set and meet campaign measurement and evaluation criteria
  • Identify training and development needs of junior staff and provide opportunities that enable staff members to reach their full potential
  • Assist in financial management for clients, including development of invoices and activity reports

 What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary (holistic) healthcare communication initiatives, ideally including disease education campaigns
  • Familiarity with data and regulatory milestone communications
  • Fluency and/or familiarity with earned, digital and social media
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills
  • Experience with clients and accounts that are measurement and evaluation driven
  • Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
  • Industry experience in healthcare communications and/or pharmaceuticals

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in public relations at an agency or corporate in-house (healthcare experience required)
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
  • Be a self-starter who works well within a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
  • BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, or in a related field

We are seeking a visionary and experienced VP, B2B Content Strategy Lead to serve as a strategic client partner and team leader for one of our largest B2B enterprise accounts. In this role, you will be the senior-most content strategist on the business, responsible for driving the overarching content vision while building and nurturing strong client relationships. You will not only oversee the entire content ecosystem—from social and web to thought leadership and sales enablement—but also lead a dedicated team of content strategists, fostering their professional growth and managing team operations, including billability and resourcing.
