About the Role

A Graphic Designer is responsible for aspects of visual, conceptualization and production for healthcare projects online and offline.

They should collaborate with account lead, external vendors, and other content specialists and writers/team members. They should draw on their experience and knowledge to provide high-level counsel on design and visual issues for various projects and events with their target audiences. Other responsibilities include assisting the team with brainstorming design concept to achieve client’s goals, work closely with the Senior Art Director as well as freelancers, implementing design concepts and collaboratively work with production.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client

  • Quickly acquire a good general knowledge of client products, brands and therapeutic areas, to provide high-level of design and visual approach for projects
  • Come up with unique approach and concept for clients by getting familiar with clients’ competitor products and their brands
  • Provide recommendations on timeline, materials and vendors from design to realization of projects
  • Assist account lead to develop and beautify presentations for clients and pitch

 

Design

  • Involve in brainstorming and actively assist in idea generating session
  • Concept and brand development for medical projects
  • Help to visualize and provide guidelines of implementation or identify restraints on design projects
  • Develop design that would communicate to both professional and lay audiences
  • Manage design aspect of projects internally or externally by collaborating with Art Director, designers, writers, digital professionals, and production personnel
  • Manage production process; quality control on outgoing artwork especially with printed materials to printers; ensure high quality deliverables to clients by pre-checking test print from production
  • Work with digital team closely according to specs to deliver social media platform or website collaterals

 

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Communication, Design, Fine arts, or a related field
  • 1-3 year of experience of relevant design experience in Branding/Event/Digital/Advertising agency; creating both digital and print materials
  • Highly proficient with design software including Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, After Effects, PowerPoint and Figma
  • Ability to sketch, visualize and communicate storylines and concepts
  • Experience/interest in the healthcare industry is ideal

A snapshot of the role:

Based in London and working as part of our in-house, integrated design team, you are a passionate, Conceptual Designer who comes from an integrated agency background. You are a team player who prides themselves on developing creative concepts into world-class Earned Campaigns.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Create first-class designs across a number of touch points, including OOH, press, social, global tool kits, pitch concepts and brand guidelines.
  • Partner with our creative leads to oversee the complete design process from the concept phase through to delivery
  • Have the ability to work on a number of projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and creative standards are always maintained.
  • Provide input to project managers and producers, allowing them to budget correctly on upcoming briefs.
  • Be an effective communicator, who can confidently present their design work to senior stakeholders within the business
  • You are passionate about design as a discipline and will proactively champion innovation and craft.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to the junior members of the team and always maintain the highest of professional standards.

Ideal experience required:

  • Previous experience working in a creative studio as a conceptual designer.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential as well as a working knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a number of brilliantly designed and crafted campaigns that you have led.
  • Great communication skills, showcasing the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the design team and the wider agency to bring ideas to life in brilliantly designed presentations

POSITION PROFILE.

 

Current Global is looking for a freelance Senior Designer to serve as a key member of the creative team. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Designer will be responsible for creating, developing and executing design and creative concepts. This person must be a self-starter and be able to juggle multiple tasks and assignments. Concise knowledge of graphic design and production for both print, web and video is critical to the success of this role. The ideal candidate must have strong research, problem-solving and time management skills as well as possess good communications skills, and be an enthusiastic team player with a high level of attention to detail.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES.

 

  • Create compelling visuals to bring conceptual tactics to life.
  • Use layout, design and typography skills to design decks for presentation.
  • Use motion graphics skills to ideate and create short-form content for social media.
  • Create unique visual brand elements for use across multiple channels.
  • Produce print-ready assets that adhere to vendor specs.

QUALIFICATIONS.

 

  • 4+ years’ work and/or internship experience (print & digital).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Able to prioritize and manage own time.
  • Possess a strong desire to learn and work on both large and small projects from conception through production.
  • Fluent in leading design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
  • HTML/Flash knowledge is a plus.
