Weber Shandwick Korea is seeking an experienced communications professional with a passion for content marketing to join Seoul office. You will be part of our Digital team which develops online content targeting an international audience for leading global companies. As a manager/senior manager, you will be responsible for seamless project delivery across client accounts. The primary focus of the role will be managing the planning and production of content for clients’ social media accounts and websites, devising the editorial calendar, stakeholder management, and overseeing the project lifecycle through analytical reporting.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Plan and execute integrated communication campaigns across digital channels to support brand strategy, awareness, and PR goals
  • Develop and implement brand social media strategies across platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn
  • Provide strategic consulting and communications support to clients
  • Analyze consumer, media, and industry trends to generate relevant insights
  • Plan, produce, and manage content for web, newsroom, blog, and social media channels
  • Plan and execute influencer collaboration programs aligned with campaign objectives
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns and oversee media performance, including communication with media agencies
  • Analyze campaign results and derive actionable insights to optimize future initiatives
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to client or campaign-related issues
  • Prepare and support client presentations with clear strategic messaging
  • Participate in business development activities, including research, scoping, and proposal development
  • Support a wide range of marketing-related initiatives across various accounts and industries 

 

What You Will Need:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the digital PR or communications field, coupled with the ambition to build a rewarding career
  • Knowledge of the full digital eco-system: Social media, websites (particularly corporate newsrooms) & blogs, digital ads, SEO, analytics, EDMs, apps, etc.
  • Able to operate various digital platforms, conduct performance analysis, and write reports
  • Holistic ability in corporate content marketing from developing strategic plans to production and amplification
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills that bring your ideas to life through explanations that engage and excite internal and external audiences
  • Flawless attention to detail with a proven ability to manage full project lifecycles from brief to delivery and measurement
  • Enthusiasm for strategic planning, creative ideation, new business development and long-term client partnerships
  • Understand the elements that make a story exciting, what brands are doing in the press and on social platforms, and what they should do next
  • A team player who can collaborate with a range of people to devise the best approach to the work in hand and bring your team along with you throughout the journey
  • Fluency in Korean and English (Ability to do business smoothly in Korean and English);

  • Oversee the work of a team of PR professionals, providing guidance and direction as needed
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform PR strategies and tactics
  • Write and edit press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials
  • Cultivate relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the Technology space
  • Monitor media coverage and provide regular updates to clients
  • Identify and manage potential issues and crises that may arise for clients
  • Coordinate and manage events and other PR activities
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on PR activities and results to clients

Requirements: 

  • At least 5 years of experience in PR, with at least 2-3 years of working in a agency environment 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns, ideally for a global audience 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
  • Experience in mentoring junior memebers and collabortaing effectively with stakeholders 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Willingness to travel as needed

Account Director, Technology

We’re looking for an Account Director to join our Technology team in Seoul. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing and executing communication strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Our team in Korea work with some of the largest international and local businesses and this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to get more experience working on large-scale global communications projects with international stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Media and Communications 

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with clients’ business objectives 
  • Deal with the crisis and major issue management 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts in the technology sector, including journalists, influencers, and industry analysts 
  • Create and execute media relations strategies to secure positive media coverage for clients across various channels (print, online, broadcast). 
  • Proactively pitch story ideas and news releases to media outlets, effectively positioning clients as industry thought leaders. 
  • Monitor media coverage and provide timely reporting and analysis to clients. 

 

Client  

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned client accounts 
  • Keep client programs on schedule and ensure all deadliness are met
  • Plan and implement programs; forecast and manage budgets, profitability and receivables for new and existing clients
  • Proactively handle client problems quickly and adeptly
  • Contribute to and promote business development by counselling clients
  • Develop and deliver client presentations
  • Generate new business from existing clients and new clients by developing programs, making credentials presentations, presenting program recommendations and pursuing new business leads 

Team Management 

  • Train and motivate team members 
  • Contribute to performance reviews 
  • Create opportunities for team members to enhance growth with agency 
  • Ensure account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines 
  • Involved in staffing of team including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates and product of client 

Qualifications:

  • Min 7 years of experience in PR account management, ideally working with clients in the Technology field 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of media relations and experience pitching to journalists
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
