About the opportunity:

The role of Account Director is to act as a lead liaison between clients, client partners and the Agency and he/she will focus on all account management initiatives. You will work closely with the clients in identifying short and long term needs and objectives; craft appropriate strategies as well as identify and implement quality solutions to achieve client goals. In addition, you will also be responsible for managing and leading agency resources in order to meet clients’ communications, marketing and advertising needs.

The Account Director should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and provide ongoing counsel and strategic guidance to the internal team and external client organization. This requires an ability to adapt to different types of situations, personalities and communication styles as this person will be required to work across all functional teams within the Agency and the client organization. The successful Account Director will ensure a collaborative working environment is achieved between the agency, the client, and partners.

The Account Director will also be accountable for the relevance and quality of every agency activity associated with the clients’ business and most importantly any creative products.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary senior contact for client accounts, developing relationships with clients and working closely with them to learn about their business and customer experience needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of business objectives of clients and ways in which Weber Shandwick services can contribute to both their long and short-term business strategies.
  • Ensures the account team understands the scope of work and is responsible for achieving set objectives and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the strategy to creative and production processes.
  • Proactively partners with other functional and account leads to drive integration between client and projects.
  • Sets expectations on the quality of creative ideas and work within brand guidelines.
  • Works with clients to produce budgets and ensure team works within set budgets.
  • Encourages working relationships that promote a collaborative approach to work across the agency and with clients and suppliers.
  • Have a passion for Luxury and Beauty, are well informed and tapped-in culturally on a global level and have an understanding of the industry including key trends, influencers and key publications and digital sites.
  • Keeps apprised of all relevant client, industry and market developments.
  • Provides feedback on the quality of work, identifies and delivers on areas of improvements.
  • Be a problem solver, showing ability to resolve complex issues independently.
  • Serves as mentor to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in an account management role. PR/Communications/Advertising agency experience is preferred.
  • Experience in managing regional briefs for global brands.
  • Effectively led and developed account teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communications with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change and perform well under pressure, juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint).
  • Good time management skills and process driven.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplined campaigns.
  • Regular international travel will be required.
  • Effective resources allocation skills and ability to connect with different agency disciplines towards achieving clients’ deliverables.
  • Special event experience is a bonus, particularly with red carpets, high-profile sponsorships, product launches, openings, stunts, media education events and influencer activations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support account lead to manage client relationships on a day-to-day basis and implement local and regional communication strategies and program activities in conjunction with team members
  • Monitor and track client, competitor, industry and cultural news and prepare coverage reports
  • Provide media relations support – conducting research, building target media lists, drafting media materials, pitching to journalists, and managing media relationships and opportunities
  • Demonstrate ability to develop strategies/ creative platforms and concepts that simultaneously leverage traditional and new media for our clients
  • Prepare timely team and client updates on all stages of project processes; prepare accurate and thorough conference call or client meeting recaps
  • Assist and contribute to the development of long-term strategic clients plans and program recommendations, developing budgets, generating recommendations, and creating presentations
  • Identify opportunities for agency/ team learning and develop tools/suggestions to expand agency knowledge and understanding of digital communications
  • Execute social networking, media campaigns and blogger outreach
  • Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
  • Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership on executional issues specific to assigned programs

 

 

PERSON PROFILE

  • 1-3 years of PR experience or relevant industry experience, preferably at a PR agency or in-house communications team.
  • Some knowledge and interest of the Technology industry plus media relations experience and contacts
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Dedication to details and sense of responsibilities
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to work under tight timelines

RESPONSIBILITIES

 PERSON PROFILE

  • 1-2 years of experience working in an agency (or similar) environment
  • Some knowledge of the communications industry
  • Some media relations experience and contacts

The Weber Shandwick Office is currently seeking a manager for its Healthcare practice.

 

Job Summary:

  • Developing and implementing integrated communications strategies tailored to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia (Singapore market understanding is critical)
  • A strong understanding of the local media landscape (traditional and new), cultural nuances, and communication trends
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns and consumer-led campaigns in wellness, healthcare, pharma, and consumer wearables. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Agency work experience in Singapore market will be an advantage

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop culturally relevant content, including articles and social media posts, aligned with the target audience.
  • Collaborate with local influencers, experts, and content creators within healthcare and pharmaceutical guidelines and regulations.
