Account Director, Client Experience

Weber Shandwick is looking for a Director to join our Consumer team in our New York offices. 

We Are Seeking: 

We’re looking for a passionate brand enthusiast and strong Account Director to join our Consumer Practice, working across a few of America’s most iconic food and beverage brands. You will be responsible for playing a critical role in leading breakthrough activations that earn attention and helping to create truly fun and unique PR campaigns. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching, inspiring and motivating a high performing team while exceeding expectations for our clients.

In this role, you’ll be tasked with overseeing account programming while collaborating closely with our creative and earned media teams to advance programming and achieve business objectives both internally and externally. Fueled by your love of consumer-led programming and viral brand campaigns, we hope you’ll bring energy and enthusiasm to every client challenge while motivating colleagues around you.

Basic Qualifications: 

  •  At least 7 years of experience in agency, PR/Communications space
  •  Experienced in Integrated Media Strategy and Media Relations, ideally within the food & beverage or CPG space
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Business Management, or related field

NYC Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

The Role: 

Weber Shandwick is looking for a Junior Associate, Global Client Experience and Market Resource Management.  In this role, you will work with the global client experience leads to apply the deep understanding of client needs to resources required by client teams, including:

  • Supporting training and management of market resources enabling client work.
  • Supporting agency leaders responsible for managing client experience across North America as they work to uplevel skills throughout the community, share impactful work, bolster thought leadership and learning.

 

Ideally, you’re curious about the industry, a multitasker, detail-oriented, responsive and adept at managing deadlines.

 

Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (most notably Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and responsiveness

 

Years Experience:

  • Approximately 3 years experience in an Administrative Support, Operations, Customer Service, or Coordination role

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support in global client survey coordination
  • Support NA client experience leaders’ logistics and content needs (including scheduling meetings, aggregating and organizing content and casework)
  • Review industry news for latest market resources developments
  • Explore new market resources and tools with initial vendor vetting requirements
  • Track and report usage of existing market resources
  • Assist in market resource onboarding and basic training

Weber Shandwick is currently seeking a Vice President Digital, Client Experience to join our Healthcare teams in our New York office to help lead integration across marketing functions on behalf of a major healthcare brand. This position is responsible for driving the success of the client relationship, including meeting client objectives within given budgets, and translating all these factors into strategic briefs and corresponding planning documents to ensure client satisfaction.

The Vice President Digital, Client Experience is responsible for working with cross-functional teams in the development and oversight of the execution of strategic social media and digital initiatives including development of campaigns, content creation and measuring the effectiveness of our initiatives.

An ideal candidate will have deep experience in the social and digital space on notable brands and be in tune with emerging trends within digital and social media, as well as understand the broader cultural shift-taking place through digital means.

Client-facing responsibilities will include strategic program planning, managing programs and activities to meet business objectives, effectively delegating projects, providing strategic counsel to team members and allocating agency resources while managing client schedules and budgets.

We want someone who is collaborative and willing to work on teams to do bold new things. Someone who wants to solve client problems in new ways as social media paradigms and practices evolve and shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior day-to-day client contact for a couple critical clients, responsible for building and nurturing the client relationship while supporting the management and optimization of a team to support digital and/or social efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development, implementation and measurement of innovative digital brand strategies that are integrated with overall client marketing objectives/goals
  • Collaborate with agency partners (e.g. media, branding), as necessary, to develop and implement integrated program execution
  • Develop and track against client scopes of work
  • Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking with high energy and excellent “story-telling” skills demonstrated through writing creative briefs and verbal presentation
  • Become educated in client’s brand, customer base, business model and marketing objectives

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience with a digital advertising and/or digital PR agency, healthcare experience is preferred
  • Possess a thorough command of the social media and digital world (from the evolving social web to mobile tools and trends), sophisticated client service and digital communications skills, high energy, and passion for this area of rapid change and innovation.
  • Work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams – displaying proven ability in running a team, controlling timelines and budgets, anticipating issues, and working towards solutions to complex problems.
  • Be able to communicate with client contacts across multiple levels, both at a reporting and strategic counsel level
  • Have exceptional creative and business writing skill
  • Lead cross-functional account teams to build content plans and campaign strategies designed to engage members of brand communities
  • Strong technical proficiency in social media platforms
  • Be able to analyze and synthesize data from the communities you manage, providing insights from the data to inform future recommendations and decisions
  • Have the proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced office environment
